Three culinary icons confirmed for World Gourmet Festival 2026 | News

Following the announcement of the return of the World Gourmet Festival at Anantara Siam Bangkok Hotel from September 29 to October 4, 2026, this year’s festival celebrates an extraordinary culinary collaboration between Latin America, France and the United States, as it unveils the first three internationally acclaimed chefs confirmed for the event.
Under the theme ‘The World of Flavors’, the festival brings together some of the world’s most celebrated culinary talents, including:
Alvaro Clavijo
Chef and founder of El Chato in Bogotá, Colombia, Álvaro Clavijo has become a defining figure in modern Latin American gastronomy. His restaurant, El Chato, was named the #1 restaurant in Latin America’s 50 Best Restaurants and continues to receive international recognition for its ingredient-driven approach. Inspired by Colombia’s extraordinary biodiversity, Clavijo works closely with indigenous communities and local producers to showcase indigenous ingredients, creating a cuisine that is both deeply rooted and celebrated worldwide.
Julien Royer
Julien Royer, chef and owner of Odette in Singapore, is one of Asia’s most acclaimed culinary figures and has received three Michelin stars. Consistently ranked among the 50 best restaurants in the world, Odette reflects Royer’s distinctive vision of fine French cuisine interpreted from an Asian perspective. Guided by a deep respect for terroir, seasonality and craftsmanship, he combines impeccable technique with a thoughtful approach to ingredients, gaining international recognition as one of the leading voices in contemporary gastronomy.
Josiah Citrin
Josiah Citrin, chef and owner of Mélisse in Los Angeles, is one of America’s most respected culinary figures. Awarded two Michelin stars, Mélisse embodies Citrin’s commitment to excellence, innovation and exceptional hospitality. He is widely recognized as a pioneer of California luxury dining and ingredient-based cuisine. He has influenced the American culinary landscape for more than thirty years, achieving widespread acclaim and establishing himself as a leading force in contemporary gastronomy.
