WIZZ AIR LAUNCHES ONLY DIRECT FLIGHTS BETWEEN THE UK AND ARMENIA | News

Wizz Air, Europe’s fastest growing airline and London’s local airline, today celebrates the launch of its new direct route between London Luton Airport (LLA) and Yerevan (EVN), becoming the only airline currently offering direct flights between the United Kingdom and Armenia.
The inaugural flight took off yesterday, offering British travelers direct access to one of the Caucasus’ most captivating yet unspoilt destinations, while boosting connectivity between Britain and Armenia.
The launch also follows Wizz Air’s latest Let’s Get Lost campaign, which saw dozens of lucky winners leave LLA for a mystery getaway before discovering Yerevan as their final destination upon arrival. The campaign aimed to encourage travelers to look beyond the traditional holiday hotspots and gave participants a taste of Armenia’s capital through local food, cultural experiences and neighborhood tours. The overwhelmingly positive response highlighted Yerevan’s growing appeal as an alternative city break destination, offering visitors a unique blend of ancient history, vibrant culture and excellent value.
One of the world’s oldest continuously inhabited cities, Yerevan combines ancient heritage with a dynamic modern culture. Yerevan is known for its distinctive pink stone architecture, thriving cafe culture and vibrant public squares. Visitors can explore museums, galleries and markets while using the capital as a gateway to Armenia’s dramatic mountain landscapes, historic monasteries and renowned hospitality.
Flights between LLA and Yerevan operate twice a week all year round, on Mondays and Fridays, with fares from £45.99 one way.
