W Maldives unveils The Wavemaker Edit, a new ongoing series of curated collaborations with global talents, designed to bring new energy, creative exchange and unexpected experiences to the island. Editorial in nature and immersive in design, the series sets the stage for a dynamic cultural rhythm, with each chapter introducing a new perspective, covering mixology, wellness, cuisine, music and more.
From June 3 to 14, 2026, the first edition of The Wavemaker Edit will unfold in two separate yet complementary chapters – Island Alchemy and The Restore Ritual – offering guests a seamless journey between high-energy moments and conscious escape, redefining luxury resort experiences in the Maldives.
On June 3, Kwok takes over SIP for an intimate guest service, presenting a trio of cocktails that explore contrast and balance, from a signature serving of The Opposites to his own refined classics, culminating in a bespoke creation inspired by the textures and spirit of the Maldives. The experience evolves on June 6 at WET Deck, where a poolside party sets the stage for a more vibrant expression of the collaboration, with a curated cocktail menu designed for sun-drenched indulgence.
Shifting the pace, The Restore Ritual introduces a more introspective pace, spotlighting wellness and movement in honor of Global Wellness Day. Led by Mumbai-based young yoga and movement teacher Samiksha Shetty, whose practice combines alignment-focused asana with breathwork and mindfulness, the program invites guests to reconnect through the intentional, sensory-led experiences.
From Sunset Yoga at FIRE Beach on June 12 and 14 to a morning meditation at AWAY Spa on June 13, each of the free sessions is designed to ground and restore. The chapter’s defining moment arrives on June 13 with an elevated Sunset Yoga experience aboard the Horizon Yacht, an exclusive, bookable voyage where movement meets the open ocean. In addition to curated healthy snacks and drinks served on board, the experience extends beyond the mat, with a 60-minute massage in the AWAY Spa, creating a smooth transition from tranquility to pampering.
