VidantaWorld Voyages Introduces ELEGANT: A Luxury Ultrayacht Experience | News

VidantaWorld Voyages today announced the debut of ELEGANT, a luxurious ultrayacht designed to provide a more immersive, unhurried way to experience the Mediterranean – combining extended time in iconic destinations with the space, elegance and service standards of a world-class luxury resort.
From April 11 to October 2, 2026, and back from May through September 2027, ELEGANT will offer a portfolio of seven-night Mediterranean itineraries focused on specific regions, allowing guests to experience each destination more deeply rather than rushing between distant ports. Planned itineraries include the French Riviera, the Spanish coast, the Azores and Portugal, the Greek Islands and Adriatic Sea, and the Italian coast.
ELEGANT itineraries are designed for travelers who value how they experience Europe as much as where they go. The emphasis is on overnight stays, late departures and a slower travel pace. With quotes available on request, guests can experience the Mediterranean beyond the high season crowds: enjoying seaside dinners in the dark, evening promenades, live music and the nightlife normally missed on traditional cruise itineraries.
Vidanta took a ship designed to accommodate more than 600 guests and made a conscious decision to accommodate only 216 guests. That choice – putting space over capacity – defines every aspect of ELEGANT. The result is an ultra-yacht where spaciousness is inherent to the entire onboard experience, from extensive personal accommodations and larger, more numerous lounges to a redesigned dining approach without a traditional main dining room. The design eliminates the lines, bottlenecks and congestion typical of conventional cruise experiences, creating a sense of openness, flow and ease on every deck.
The result is an experience that feels considerably more spacious and unhurried than almost any luxury small ship in the Mediterranean.
This design philosophy is supported by a service model that approximates a crew-to-guest ratio of nearly 1:1, enabling highly personalized, intuitive hospitality rarely achievable at sea. Guests in ELEGANT’s highest-level accommodations will enjoy dedicated butler service, providing discreet, anticipatory attention that elevates every aspect of the trip.
“From the beginning, our focus has been on redefining what luxury at sea could feel like,” said Ivan Chavez, Executive Vice President of Grupo Vidanta. “By dramatically reducing the number of guests, taking service to a near one-to-one level, prioritizing space and building itineraries around extended stays and late departures, we have created a journey that delivers the high-end experience and flexibility today’s luxury traveler is looking for.”
Rooted in luxury hospitality expertise
ELEGANT is the at-sea expression of Vidanta’s decades of leadership in luxury vacations, built on the same hospitality philosophy that has defined the company’s award-winning Mexican resorts and destinations. Vidanta is known for creating expansive, design-forward environments that prioritize space, comfort and guest experience. Vidanta brings a resort-first mentality to the sea – favoring openness over density and immersion rather than routes built around the clock.
That heritage is evident throughout ELEGANT, from the residential-scale accommodations and generous public spaces to the service culture defined by warmth, personalization and convenience. Select Governor’s and Presidential Suites feature an additional bathroom – ideal for third-person guests or for entertaining – and select top-level suites feature two full bathrooms, enhancing the residential feel.
About a third of onboard accommodations feature dedicated butler service, provided by professionals formally trained by the British Butler Institute, one of the world’s most respected authorities on refined personal service.
A luxury resort that sails
ELEGANT combines the sophistication of a luxury land-based resort with the freedom and romance of sailing the Mediterranean. The experience is defined by:
Expansive, elegantly appointed suites and staterooms with residential proportions
Nearly 1:1 service levels from crew to guest, allowing for true personalization
Butler service in the ship’s first-class accommodations
Beautiful deck space and generously scaled public areas
Exceptional openness and width throughout, eliminating congestion and crowding
Longer stays, late departures and overnight stays in major ports on the Mediterranean
On-demand tenders so guests can explore destinations freely and without tight schedules
While the ship’s structure reflects its classical heritage, all guest-facing spaces are completely new, redesigned with modern luxury styling, warm materials, refined textures and a soothing, residential aesthetic.
Throughout the ship: resort-caliber amenities at sea
Throughout ELEGANT, guests will enjoy a carefully curated collection of resort-quality amenities designed to feel expansive, elegant and exceptionally high-end. The ship features a lavish swimming pool, four hot tubs, a marina deck with direct access to the sea, a sophisticated casino, a full-service spa and fitness center and a wide range of beautifully designed social spaces that transition seamlessly from vibrant lounges to tranquil, intimate retreats.
On board ELEGANT, the guest experience unfolds in a natural rhythm from morning to evening. Days start with wellness on the Pure Sky Deck and relaxing time around the pool, before transitioning into afternoons where live music – piano in Mosaic, violin and jazz in open-air venues – moves throughout the ship.
As the evening arrives, the atmosphere changes: dining in a collection of different restaurants, changing dress codes and signature performances in the Amura Lounge, including productions such as World of Wonder. The evenings extend to theme parties on the pool terrace, interactive gaming experiences and DJ sets late into the evening under the stars.
With multiple locations operating simultaneously, guests can seamlessly move through the day at their own pace – engaging as they please, without crowds or restrictions.
Culinary experiences are at the heart of life on board, with three destination-focused dinner restaurants, casual cafes and snack bars, and eight different bar and lounge concepts spread across the yacht – so guests are never far from a relaxing place to gather, dine or enjoy a cocktail without congestion. The entertainment is deliberately intimate and atmospheric, with live music and curated performances naturally woven into the onboard atmosphere.
From morning wellness rituals and relaxing afternoons poolside to evenings under the stars, ELEGANT delivers the rhythm of a luxury resort – enhanced by panoramic sea views, exceptional deck space and a service model built for convenience and attention.

From ship to shore
That same attention to space, design and intention determines how ELEGANT approaches the Mediterranean itself – not as a checklist of ports, but as a series of lived experiences. ELEGANT offers a dedicated shore excursion portfolio, carefully tailored in each port to cater to discerning guests: from iconic monuments and cultural traditions to the finest regional gastronomy, each experience is curated to reveal the very best of each destination.
With seven-night itineraries beginning April 11, 2026 and running through October 2, 2026, before returning May through September 2027 – including an inaugural voyage from Funchal, Madeira – ELEGANT offers a new way to experience the Mediterranean, defined by thoughtful itineraries, meaningful shore time and destinations that can be enjoyed outside the typical daytime window.
The result is traveling through the Mediterranean as it was meant to be experienced: relaxed, immersive and richly structured.
