The Leela Palace Bengaluru introduces the Azulian House, a new botanical dining destination | News

The Leela Palace Bengaluru unveils The Azulian House, a new restaurant concept focusing on botanical dining, agave-based beverages and ingredient-driven dishes. Inspired by the idea of a botanist’s home, the restaurant brings together exceptional F&B, design and storytelling in an environment that reflects Bengaluru’s identity as India’s Garden City.

Already recognized as one of Bengaluru’s premier dining destinations, The Leela Palace Bengaluru is home to critically acclaimed restaurants and bars, including the award-winning ZLB23. With the launch of The Azulian House, the hotel expands its culinary portfolio with a concept that explores Peruvian culinary traditions, locally sourced ingredients and contemporary hospitality. The launch also coincides with a milestone year for The Leela, as the brand celebrates four decades of Indian luxury hospitality.

Designed as a botanist’s home, The Azulian House unfolds into a series of interconnected spaces including The Living Room, The Glasshouse, The Lab and The Orchard. Each space serves a different purpose and contributes to a cohesive guest experience. The Living Room offers a warm, residential atmosphere, while The Glasshouse is designed as a light-filled space that promotes a closer connection with the surrounding botanical environment.

At the heart of The Azulian House is an ingredient-based approach to the food and drink menu. The drink selection includes an extensive selection of tequila and mezcal and is one of the most extensive agave-focused offerings in the city. Meanwhile, culinary inspiration draws from Peruvian cuisine, including ceviches, tiraditos and causas, as well as open-fire grills and slow-cooked dishes, with ají, citrus and smoke all key elements. Together they create an experience shaped by seasonality, technology and a strong sense of place.

Commenting on the launch, Nishant Agarwal, General Manager of The Leela Palace Bengaluru, said: “The Azulian House reflects a more considered approach to luxury. It is rooted in time, in craft and in a deep respect for ingredients. Every element is built with the intention of creating something immersive yet effortless.”

Chef Zafar added, “Peruvian cuisine is about balance and integrity. At The Azulian House, we have stayed true to these fundamentals while interacting with Indian products in a way that feels intuitive. This is not a fusion, but a natural dialogue between two cultures.”

The experience extends beyond the plate and unfolds in a living botanical environment. Guests can dine in outdoor and semi-outdoor areas surrounded by herbs, edible plants and fruit trees, or choose to sit in the kitchen itself, with direct and immersive views. A private outdoor space is also available for intimate gatherings and customized events.
