Avianca is moving its operations to Terminal 4 at Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport | News

Avianca announces the relocation of its Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport (FLL) operations to Terminal 4, supporting the airline’s continued growth in South Florida and improving the travel experience for passengers flying between Fort Lauderdale and Latin America.

The move to Terminal 4 will allow Avianca to centralize its operations in a larger space designed to support the airline’s increasing flight operations at FLL. The first flight departing from the new Terminal 4 will be from Fort Lauderdale to Bogotá on Monday, June 29. The terminal will also provide improved passenger flows and operational efficiencies, especially for international travelers, with access to U.S. Customs and Border Protection services available at the terminal.

“Fort Lauderdale is an important market for Avianca, and this move reflects our continued commitment to strengthening our operations in South Florida while providing customers with a smoother and more efficient travel experience,” Avianca said. “The move to Terminal 4 gives us the space and operational flexibility needed to support our growth at FLL, improve passenger flows and better serve travelers connecting between South Florida, Latin America and the rest of our network.”

The transition is being coordinated in close collaboration with Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport and the Broward County Aviation Department to support Avianca’s growing operations, ensure a smooth move and enhance the customer experience. Avianca will also update its systems, distribution channels, signage and passenger information platforms to reflect the terminal change.

This move further supports Avianca’s broader growth in the United States, where the airline currently operates more than 400 weekly flights to and from the country. Through its network, Avianca connects 14 cities in Latin America with US destinations including Fort Lauderdale, Miami, Boston, Dallas-Fort Worth, Houston, New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, San Francisco and Las Vegas on a seasonal basis. Travelers can also connect to more than 80 destinations in the Americas and Europe.
