Minor Hotels Announces Anantara’s Caribbean Debut in Turks and Caicos | News

Minor Hotels, the international hotel owner, operator and investor, has unveiled plans for the future debut of its luxury brand Anantara in the Caribbean. The development of Anantara Turks and Caicos Resort & Residences, scheduled for 2029, further strengthens the brand’s expansion into leading luxury destinations worldwide.

Located along North Caicos’ pristine Sandy Point coastline, the project’s 78 low-density branded homes, including a collection of beachfront villas, will all be available for private ownership. Anantara Turks and Caicos Resort & Residences brings a contemporary sensitivity to the island’s natural tranquility and will be styled for generous indoor and outdoor living by Miami-based RAD and Meyer Davis, an award-winning architecture and design firm known for its work on some of the most iconic luxury hospitality and residential projects worldwide.

Just a short flight from Miami, North Caicos, known as the ‘Garden Island’, offers a more naturally preserved side of Turks and Caicos, defined by its people, natural landscapes, privacy and pristine beaches. This quieter, nature-inspired expression provides a rarer sense of space, privacy and natural beauty along the long stretches of coastline. Building on the destination’s easy access, global appeal of its beaches and established luxury market, the project responds to rising demand for branded properties in highly sought-after resort locations.

As one of the Caribbean’s most ambitious destinations, located just 570 miles southeast of Miami, the archipelago boasts direct flight connections from major US and Canadian hubs, making it a prime market for luxury travelers and homeowners. The development will feature a private marina connecting it to the surrounding cays and the wider archipelago.

Well-being shaped by land, sea and air
Respecting the slower pace of North Caicos, Anantara introduces a new expression of the island, rooted in privacy, authenticity and a deeper connection to nature, drawing wellbeing directly from the landscape. Native species, medicinal plants and flowering botanicals from the resort’s gardens will inspire treatments at the full-service Anantara Spa. Making the most of minimal light pollution, an on-site observatory will add a celestial dimension to the leisure offering, with activities guided by lunar cycles, planetary alignments and seasonal shifts, in addition to nighttime relaxation rituals, sleep-focused experiences and sunrise exercises. A fitness center and yoga studios complement tennis, padel and pickleball courts, along with a dedicated water sports center and multiple pools for relaxing resort-style lounging.

This holistic connection between nature and wellness will continue in the resort’s signature dinners, enriched with herbal-based infusions and ingredients sourced from the resort’s own orchards and gardens. Relaxed beach locations with feet in the sand, a wine cellar and a rooftop bar at sunset ensure this thread extends into the wider resort experience. The designs reflect a refined island sanctuary that is elevated yet deeply connected to its natural context.

Dillip Rajakarier, Group CEO of Minor International, parent company of Minor Hotels, said: “The introduction of Anantara to the Caribbean is a significant milestone for our group. The Turks and Caicos Islands are among the most recognized luxury destinations in the world, and North Caicos provides an ideal setting for our experiential and sustainability-driven approach to hospitality. This important project strengthens our presence in the Americas and reflects our commitment to expanding into destinations that support meaningful travel, while also expanding our luxury footprint in North America in line with our growth ambitions in the region.”

Caroline Domange, CEO of Octans and co-founder of Cheval Blanc for LVMH, part of the project ownership team, said: “Few destinations offer easy access to both the tranquility and extraordinary turquoise waters, beaches and natural beauty that have made Providenciales famous worldwide. The preserved coastlines of North Caicos and its people bring an even greater sense of both tranquility and joy. Together with Anantara and our wider team who have proven experience with other notable local developments, we are creating an investment opportunity that feels deeply connected to the kind of well-lived life we all aspire to.” Locally based developer Rob Ayer, part of the project ownership team with a strong track record, continued: “From the beginning, our vision was to build on everything that has always made Turks and Caicos so attractive, while delivering the original destination experience.”

“The world-renowned Anantara brand and its exceptional attention to detail and emphasis on holistic experiences have become hallmarks of their properties around the world. It fits naturally with the deep-rooted culture of wellness in North Caicos and marks the beginning of a new chapter for luxury lifestyle in the Turks and Caicos Islands,” said The Honorable Charles Washington Misick, Prime Minister of the Turks and Caicos Islands.

Anantara Turks and Caicos will be easily accessible via Providenciales International Airport (PLS), followed by a short private boat transfer directly to the resort marina, or via North Caicos Airport, which is currently being redeveloped to further improve access for private flights to the island.

Branded homes are now available for pre-sale, and more information is available at www.anantaraturksandcaicos.com
