IHG accelerates growth in Egypt with double signing of Holiday Inn | News


IHG Hotels & Resorts, one of the world’s leading hotel companies, has signed management agreements for two new Holiday Inn-branded hotels in Aswan, Egypt, marking the brand’s entry into one of the country’s premier heritage and tourism getaways. The agreements, signed with Misr Holanda and Avenue for Development, will see Holiday Inn Aswan and Holiday Inn Resort New Aswan come to market, adding a total of 400 keys to IHG’s growing portfolio in Egypt.

Globally, Holiday Inn is one of the most iconic and trusted hospitality brands in the world, with a network of more than 1,200 hotels. Rooted in a service philosophy based on creating better stays and true moments of connection, the brand is committed to helping guests get the most out of every trip.

Holiday Inn Aswan will have 200 keys and will be located close to the city center and major tourist attractions – ideally positioned to cater to both domestic and international travelers looking for easy access to Aswan’s cultural and historical attractions. Set to open in 2029, the hotel will feature three dining options and meeting rooms across five versatile locations.

Holiday Inn Resort New Aswan will be located in the newly developed area of ​​New Aswan, bringing high-quality branded accommodation to an emerging part of the city. Set to open in 2030, the resort will feature 200 keys carefully designed to appeal to travelers seeking a resort-style stay in a destination defined by its natural beauty and cultural richness.
