Ethics committee investigates Alma Adams, 79, for ‘inappropriate relationship’

More Democrats have faced shocking allegations amid the ongoing investigation into former California governor hopeful Eric Swalwell. RadarOnline.com can reveal.

It has been reported that the House Ethics Committee is investigating North Carolina Representative Alma Adams following claims that she had an “inappropriate relationship” with a staff member. Meanwhile, four women have accused a Utah Democrat running for Congress of sexual harassment.

In 2022, Adams, now 79, was notified that a “high-ranking” staff member had filed an ethics complaint accusing her of becoming “extremely close” with another employee, Sandra Brown, allegedly creating a “hostile work environment.”

In 2023, several other former aides to Adams were interviewed over a period of about nine months while the commission investigated the allegations, according to NOTUS.

Some questions and concerns centered around Brown’s self-published novel, BossLady: The legend of Sydney Donovan beginswhich she wrote under the pseudonym SaVette Brown.

In the book, an argument takes place between a woman and her lover’s husband. One source claimed the book was “loosely based” on Brown’s “life.”

Following the investigation, a spokesperson for Adams released a statement saying, “The committee closed the matter after finding no violation of House rules and, importantly, no inappropriate or inappropriate relationship.”

“Ultimately, the committee recommended that Congressman Adams ensure that no staff member receives preferential treatment, actual or perceived, and that all staff are aware that they can raise any concerns without fear of retaliation,” the statement concluded.

This comes as political hopeful Eva López Chávez, who is currently campaigning for a spot in Congress, is accused of making unwanted sexual advances on four different women – three of whom reportedly work with López Chávez on the Salt Lake City Council.

Victoria Petro alleged that López Chávez pinned her against a wall at a party in September 2022, saying, “The only reason I still fuck men is because a woman hasn’t shown me what I really want,” the newspaper reported. Salt Lake Grandstand.

Democratic Utah Senator Jennifer Plumb had a similar story. She claimed that López Chávez pushed her against a wall and asked her if she was sure she was not attracted to women.

“I wouldn’t like it if someone did that to my daughter, my mother and my best friends, and I no longer feel comfortable with it being brushed off,” Plumb said during an interview with the outlet.

Maggie Regier also claimed she was pushed into a wall by López Chávez.

“If she wants to run for Congress, she has to adhere to a standard of conduct,” Regier said. ‘Especially if she is going to call on other candidates to adhere to a certain standard of behavior. And it’s just this pattern of behavior.”

A fourth woman, state Rep. Hoang Nguyen of Utah, recalled an alleged event in 2022 when she gave López Chávez a ride to her car. The other woman asked her to pull the car over, and when Nguyen did, López Chávez allegedly climbed on top of her, “leaned over” and held her “shoulders down.”

“I said, ‘What are you doing?’ And she said, ‘Kiss me.’ She said, “I’m not leaving you until you kiss me.” I gave her a kiss and she got out,” Nguyen claimed.

López Chávez has since denied all allegations of wrongdoing. Her attorney, Greg Skordas, said she was “willing to address” the allegations “in any forum” and would also “submit to a polygraph test” if asked to prove her innocence.
