Emirates plays it forward on the Yannick Noah Day at Roland Garros | News

Emirates took part in Yannick Noah Day at Roland-Garros, welcoming a group of tennis-loving young athletes from Attrap’la Balle for a behind-the-scenes experience at the iconic stadium. The young participants toured the venue, explored the outbuildings and visited Emirates’ world-class hospitality suite: Salon 310 on Court Philippe-Chatrier, while also enjoying front-row access to player practice sessions on the main courts and on-pitch entertainment.
French tennis star Jo-Wilfried Tsonga attended the day to meet the young fans, take photos and share the experience, giving the initiative additional inspiration and visibility.
As the presenting partner of the Trophée des Légendes, Emirates will continue its involvement throughout the tournament, inviting young athletes from Attrap’la Balle to take part in the coin toss before each match, marking the official start of the game. The initiative also offers young participants the opportunity to meet tennis legends and interact with Emirates cabin crew, further strengthening the airline’s commitment to creating meaningful, memorable experiences beyond the game. Each of the participating young athletes will also receive a piece of Emirates history, with an Aircrafted by Emirates backpack, handmade with upcycled materials from the airline’s retrofit program.
Through these initiatives, Emirates is strengthening its commitment to connecting communities through sport, using tennis as a platform for social inclusion and youth development. The airline’s partnerships with tennis foundations extend far beyond Roland-Garros. In the United States, Emirates has committed $2.5 million over five years to help transform community tennis courts and support youth education programs. In the UK, Emirates, in partnership with Wimbledon, has donated GBP 7 million to support the Championing Nature programme, which creates lasting change through positive community engagement and a stronger connection with nature. Meanwhile, in Australia, Emirates is working closely with the Australian Tennis Foundation to help create a better future for disadvantaged children through tennis-based initiatives.
