EDGE AT HUDSON YARDS UNVEILS PLAN TO TRANSFORM NYC’S HIGHEST OUTDOOR SKY DECK | News

Edge at Hudson Yards, the tallest indoor/outdoor skydeck in the Western Hemisphere, announces a complete reinterpretation of the defining New York City experience, debuting in summer 2026. The dramatic, multi-million dollar transformation will immerse guests in a kaleidoscopic world of light, color and movement as they rise 1,100 feet from street level to the Manhattan skyline. These new permanent installations span the entire interior space of Edge, from the 4th floor entrance to the 100th floor sky deck, inviting guests on a multi-sensory journey that uniquely evolves from sunrise to sunset, alternating between seasons so that each visit reveals something new.

Hudson Yards Experiences, the company responsible for operating and marketing Edge, collaborated with the strategy and experience design team of multi-dimensional agency Journey, renowned experiential entertainment studio Moment Factory and New York City-based design studio SOFTlab to design and install next-generation exhibits in the space.

Upcoming installations include:

Pulse: a fully immersive world of pulsating electric color, light and sound that distills the intoxicating energy of the city and brings it to your fingertips.
Crystal Cave: A step into a rainbow of translucent jewels that change color with the movement of the sun as it rises and sets in the skyline.
Infinite City: limitless vertical, luminous ‘skyscrapers’ that fragment and reframe the city into a hypnotic series of worlds within worlds.
And there is still more to be revealed.
This new suite of visually stunning experiences and content will allow guests to float in a sea of prismatic clouds, transitioning from the vibrant colors of a New York City day to a spectacular sunset, and finally diving into the city’s deep abstractions at night before reaching the famed outdoor deck. With a renewed focus on groundbreaking design, Edge will surpass its status as an iconic observation deck and become an immersive entertainment experience the likes of which the city has never seen before.

“Located 1,100 feet above one of the greatest cities in the world, Edge at Hudson Yards will transform what it means to be a New York City landmark. Guests will be welcomed into a breathtaking, kaleidoscopic world before they even reach our exciting outdoor deck,” said Andrew Lustgarten, executive chairman of Hudson Yards Experiences. “The new Edge is driven by immersive design, emotional storytelling and our desire to create experiences that people want to share and return to again and again.”

Among the clouds, guests can enjoy a new level of hospitality at Edge’s newly renovated indoor and outdoor bars on the 100th floor. Brought to life by Journey’s physical design team, and curated by Tao Group Hospitality, the all-weather dining options offer unique small plates, handcrafted cocktails and signature refreshments at Edge’s Champagne Bar, bringing world-class dining and luxury to every moment of the visit.

After a standout opening season, Marquee Skydeck, Tao Group Hospitality’s seasonal nightlife experience, returns as a permanent fixture on May 1. The venue will feature a line-up of leading international talent including MK, Benny Benassi, Cassian, Gareth Emery, Kaz James, Layla Benitez, Hot Since 82 and many more.

With more to be announced in the coming months, Edge will remain open seven days a week ahead of the official debut of its new experiences. Tickets for Edge are available now at www.edgenyc.com.
