Dolly Parton Fans Fear ‘Smokescreen’ Health Updates After Cancellation

Last October, Parton’s sister Frieda Parton admitted that she had been “up all night praying” after the first postponement to her older sibling’s Caesars Palace residence sparked alarm among fans.

Dolly’s management later insisted the situation had been exaggerated, with representative Olly Rowland saying: “It’s just kidney stones and the procedure she needs to clear them.”

Parton himself laughed off the speculation in a video on social media, telling fans, “I’m not dead yet.”

She added: “I know lately everyone thinks I’m sicker than I am. Do I look sick? I work hard.”

The singer also admitted that the grief following Dean’s death had affected her ability to properly care for herself.

Last November, Parton missed the Hall of Fame ceremony for the International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions honoring Dollywood.

In a pre-recorded message, she explained: “Hello Dollywood! It’s me – and I’m here and you’re there. And you’re wondering why that is? Well, I had a little problem.

“I had a kidney stone that was causing me a lot of problems. It turned out I got an infection from it and the doctor said, ‘You don’t need to travel right away, so you’ll need a few days to get better.'”
