Carl Pavano’s $4 million mansion becomes embroiled in ex-MLB star’s divorce

Former New York Yankees star Carl Pavano has become embroiled in a very ugly divorce battle with his ex-husband, Alissa Pavanowhere a series of shocking allegations have been made about what happened behind closed doors in their shared Connecticut home.
The bitter legal feud began in 2024, when Alissa first filed for divorce after 14 years of marriage, but has dragged on for two years – even after their divorce was legally finalized in 2025.
Now, new details about the breakdown of their relationship have emerged after Alissa asked a Connecticut court to annul a prenuptial agreement the former couple signed in Florida, where they first met, claiming she was coerced into signing the document.
She claims Carl threatened to leave her if she didn’t agree to the prenup, before making a series of shocking allegations about his actions in the wake of her divorce filing in 2024.
In a statement obtained by CT InsiderAlissa alleged that just minutes after he was served with divorce papers, the former Yankees pitcher sent a photo “of multiple firearms on the kitchen table” at the family home in Fairfield, CT, to a group chat that included herself and her children.
He is said to have written “hold the fort” next to the image.
State court judge Thomas O’Neill has already ruled that the marriage contract is valid, but ordered that Carl must give Alissa a one-time payment of $300.00, adding that he must buy her a new house worth up to $1 million and also hand over $50,000 in jewelry and a new car.
However, Alissa is now appealing that decision, and her affidavit has been revealed as part of that ongoing process as they continue to split time in their marital home.
The house in question is a beautiful 8,700-square-foot home that Carl purchased for $2.53 million in 2018, seven years after he and Alissa tied the knot.
Realtor.com® estimates that the six-bedroom, 8.5-bathroom home, which was completed in 2017, is now worth about $4 million.
A previous listing praised the property as an “amalgam of architectural classicism and fashionable design rooted in the present,” with the description highlighting the home’s high-end finishes and impressive amenities, including a “hydraulic elevator” and incredibly elegant primary suite.
However, Alissa’s claims about the failure of her marriage tell a very different story about the house.
Many of the more shocking allegations center on the couple’s shared custody of the children, which requires them to spend alternating weeks in their former marital home, with each parent living in the property during the time they have to care for the children.
But Alissa claims Carl tried to make that situation as difficult as possible, claiming he peed in her shampoo bottles and “intentionally soiled the bed” she had to sleep in by sharing it with other female partners.
She claims that he then “removed all clean bedding from the home so that Plaintiff would not have access to a hygienically clean and safe bed during her parenthood.”
As a result, Alissa has requested a restraining order against her ex-husband so that he cannot come near the house while she is there.
Additional court documents reviewed by the New York Post Elaborate on the allegations made by Alissa, who has claimed that her ex-husband “demanded” that she sign the prenuptial agreement and that he exhibited “intense” and “controlling” behavior during their marriage.
The baseball star reportedly demanded that Alissa give up “residence, potential employment and all financial independence” while they were together, claiming she felt forced to walk on “eggshells” when she was around him.
CT Insider reports that police have been called to the former couple’s property nine times since 2024. However, it is unclear what the circumstances of these visits were.
Pavano and his legal team have been given a deadline of Friday to respond to his ex’s prenuptial agreement. They must appear in court the same day.
The former couple first met in Florida in 2005; However, when Alissa learned that Pavano was dating another woman, she commented that she did not want to be in his “rotation” and stopped talking to him.
They reconnected in 2007 and tied the knot in 2011.
In 2005, Pavano signed a four-year, $39.5 million contract with the Yankees.
