Ahãma Living, a natural retreat nestled under the trees on Turkey’s Fethiye Riviera, is now open | News

Ahãma Living, on the lesser-known Turkish Riviera of Fethiye, opens its doors for its first full season. The first of its kind, Ahãma is a sanctuary of calm, inspiring connection, reflection and awe.

Hidden by the pine forests, Ahãma Living is located on Fethiye Günlüklü Bay and offers blissful seclusion, with only charming fishing villages as neighbors.

The new resort is located in a protected forest area that is exclusively home to sigla trees, known to locals as sacred healers. Once believed to be the bridge between the earthly and the eternal, Ahãma Living honors the spirit of sigla and invites guests to become guardians of the sigla shrine. With this philosophy, Ahãma redefines wild wellness to offer the ultimate luxury: time. Here the days unfold slowly as the sounds and smells of nature sing.

Ahãma’s rooms, restaurants and wellness areas seem to tumble from the treetops to the turquoise coast. 29 guest houses are hidden in the woods and offer complete immersion in nature. There are 30 one and two-bedroom cabanas spread across the resort, some overlooking the Aegean ocean, some poolside and several hidden in the forest. The two-bedroom Villa Uchi completes the offering, on a private beach overlooking the bay.

Ahãma’s architecture, designed by Stüdyo AB Architecture, is in favor of nature. All guesthouses and cabanas consist of treehouse-style wooden structures, complete with floor-to-ceiling windows that invite nature inside. The furniture is handmade from fallen trees and is prominently displayed in the rooms. Interiors are understated; raw wood and wood furnishings are softened by light linens and layered with natural textures. The ceramic décor and artwork in earth tones pays tribute to local artisans and craftsmanship.
The wellness concept is a tribute to the spirit of freedom and truly knows no walls. Although there is a spa with a few rooms, wellness is everywhere at Ahãma. Saunas are scattered throughout the jungle to harness nature’s healing powers. An ancient temple in the middle of the forest welcomes daily sound healing sessions, creating a sanctuary of spirituality. At the edge of the forest you will find a cold plunge and a eucalyptus-scented steam room. Several treatment cabins line the water and an outdoor studio hangs over the bay, inviting you to the sounds of the ocean. Wellness is holistic and nods sensitively to traditional Turkish rituals.

Restaurants follow the same philosophy of celebrating nature, each with its own character, but share a commitment to showcasing locally sourced produce. Ege is Ahama’s signature restaurant, inspired by the Aegean Sea and combining Turkish and Greek coastal cuisine. Here, fresh, locally sourced ingredients and the fruits of the sea are as much a highlight as the beachfront location. Umi is a casual beach bar serving delicious Japanese dishes all day long. Think sushi and sashimi washed down with matcha or sake. AY pays tribute to Turkish ocakbaşı cooking traditions. Centered around the open fire, the restaurant adds smoky flavors to hand-cut kebabs, meats and mezze, accompanied by Raki. Mezkla takes inspiration from Mexico and serves citrus ceviche and mezcal-based cocktails. The Glasshouse is an effortlessly relaxed breakfast environment, inviting in the morning light. By day, The Glasshouse celebrates home-cooked Turkish cuisine, where simple seasonal produce and aromatic flavors are the star of the show. Each dining venue features a carefully curated selection of local wines and a cocktail menu.

Ahãma Living also invites exercise in multiple forms, from paddle boarding at sunrise to somatic and primal yoga sessions and from beach volleyball to dancing to the sound of live music at Mezkla. Other facilities include a forest swimming pool, in the shade of sigla trees, an outdoor CrossFit, a large gym, padel tennis courts and an organic herb garden.

Ahãma Living also offers an extensive collection of unique experiences, both under the trees and in the sea. Ahãma invites guests to reconnect with themselves, slow down and move to the rhythm of nature. Day and night, Ahãma is more than a wellness retreat; it offers perspective on pace and awakens a new way of life.
