Minos Palace Resort, Crete, unveils new Infinity Lagoon Suites | News

Following the resort’s 2025 renovation, including the introduction of the Nao Longevity Hub, Greece’s must-visit wellness destination, Minos Palace Resort in Crete is now delighted to unveil the new Infinity Lagoon Suites for summer 2026.

The Infinity Lagoon Suites explore the relationship between architecture, water and landscape through a spatial concept based on fluidity, privacy and connection to place. It is a brand new accommodation option at the Minos Palace Resort that marks the final phase of the ongoing transformation of this five-star Cretan resort. The architectural vision was conceived by owner Gina Mamidaki in collaboration with Dora Giakoumi, project developer and engineer of Bluegr Hotels & Resorts.

The spectacular suites can accommodate up to two guests and offer 180 degree views of the Aegean Sea, best enjoyed from the private terrace and sunbeds. The suites also feature a private freshwater pool, a king-size bed and generous living areas with a walk-in shower, walk-in closet and double sinks.

All suites are connected by a shared lagoon-style pool that flows seamlessly between private and semi-private pools, providing a blissful balance between seclusion and community, blending architecture with the surrounding landscape. The lagoon is also designed to reflect the serene landscape and has two sculptural islands embedded within it, mirroring the two islands visible on the horizon behind the resort. The horizon is not only framed, but also reinterpreted with an architectural composition, creating a mirrored relationship between the immediate guest experience and the broader seascape, carefully created by landscape artist Greenways.

More than just an accommodation type, the new Infinity Lagoon Suites offer a contemporary lodging experience that embodies a living reflection of the place, with interiors by Maria Souliou. Materials are rooted in the island’s cultural identity, with organic geometries, curved shapes, locally sourced stone, reflective water surfaces and Mediterranean plantings creating an atmosphere of calm and understated luxury. Floor-to-ceiling openings maximize light and uninterrupted views, while integrated outdoor spaces extend the suites into the natural environment.

The launch of the new suites follows a complete redesign of the rooms and suites, reception, food and beverage options and the introduction of Nao Longevity Hub in 2025. This transformed Minos Palace Resort from a linear, inward-looking structure into an extroverted environment where nature, water and art coexist. The result is a contemporary environment in which architecture does not function as an object within the landscape, but as a natural continuation of it.

The Minos Palace Resort is a luxury adults-only destination located on a private peninsula that resembles an island within an island. With wellness at the heart of the experience, guests can enjoy seasonal dining with menus supported by integrated science, alongside customized sleep, nutrition, health and fitness plans from the Nao Longevity Hub. The resort also offers a range of authentic land, sea, wellness and conscious experiences, providing a tranquil retreat for both relaxation and exploration. Activities include everything from luxury yacht cruises and private dinners to cooking classes, sound healing, yoga and meditation, waterside picnics and herbology and mixology workshops.
