Sharon Stone says ex-husband was against mastectomy after cancer

Recalling the terrifying ordeal on a recent podcast, Sharon described a tumor as “bigger than the size of my entire left breast,” and recalled a doctor warning her: “This is really bad.”

Faced with a terrifying decision, the Alpha Dog Star said she initially resisted the surgery, but then decided to have it immediately – and just as quickly discovered that the man next to her was not who she thought he was, claiming he was less concerned about her cancer than the breasts being removed.

Sharon confessed that she initially refused to undergo surgery, declaring, “I don’t have cancer,” before promptly giving in to her doctor’s warnings, “I’m deciding that I’m going to have bilateral surgery because I’m not sitting around.”

But instead of support from the man she trusted most, Sharon says she was met with anger.

“My husband said, ‘This is ridiculous,’ got up and left the room,” she recalls. “He was furious.”
