Mandarin Oriental, Lago Di Como reopens | News

Mandarin Oriental, Lago di Como is pleased to announce its reopening for the season with a redesigned restaurant, new signature spa treatments and La Primavera accommodation package on Lake Como.
New design for L’ARIA restaurant
Architectural firm Herzog & de Meuron has completed the restyling of L’ARIA, enhancing existing spaces and improving their functionality. This follows the restoration of the resort’s iconic floating pool and other key areas of Mandarin Oriental, Lago di Como, including the Spa, NAMI Café and bistro at the historic Villa Roccabruna.
A warm, tactile palette defines interiors; Venetian terrazzo style collaborates with Italian marble and polished dark wood; and fabrics in old pink tones and details inspired by the surrounding garden contribute to an intimate, refined atmosphere. An elegant sculptural counter provides a social focal point, transforming from breakfast buffet to aperitivo bar. The spaces flow naturally from the veranda to the panoramic terrace and lakeside greenhouse, and a striking ceiling clad in pressed molded glass and brass elements reflect light to create an ever-changing lighting effect.
New gastronomic experience
The L’ARIA dining experience welcomes guests from breakfast to aperitivo and dinner and culminates in a cuisine curated by Chef Massimiliano Blasone. The menu combines local flavors and oriental techniques and ranges from dishes prepared on the robata (traditional Japanese grill) to a selection of raw fish and light tempura, and Italian classics with a contemporary twist. A beautiful collection of traditional handmade ceramics from a local artisan, inspired by the natural elements of the lake, enriches the experience.
Further culinary selections
CO.MO Bar & Bistrot is the place to be on Lake Como. With modern dishes and a cocktail list that reads like a drinking book for Italy, it offers a tasty Italian journey. The fresh and casual NAMI Cafe, with its stylish lakeside setting, offers Asian-inspired cuisine, and an international twist enriches the healthy and comforting options.
New signature treatments from 111SKIN
Mandarin Oriental’s award-winning spa, Lago di Como has introduced four signature treatments from 111SKIN. Founded in 2012 by world-renowned plastic and reconstructive surgeon Dr. Yannis Alexandrides, 111SKIN is a global skincare brand that bridges the gap between clinical science and glamour. Highlights include the Black Diamond Non-Surgical Lift Facial, one of the brand’s most celebrated treatments, which softens, brightens and redefines facial contours, while the Reparative Longevity Facial deeply nourishes and rebalances the skin, strengthening its barrier. These are joined by the Even Glow Sculpting Facial, a brightening and regenerating treatment, and the Cryo Radiance Facial, a revitalizing ritual that uses cryotherapy to stimulate microcirculation, reduce signs of fatigue and restore energy to the skin. These four complementary experiences reflect the resort’s innovative approach to wellness, combining visible results with a deeply regenerating sensory dimension.
