Aer Lingus makes AerClub rewards easier to achieve with higher tier credits on base fares | News
Aer Lingus recently announced changes to its AerClub loyalty program, making it easier for members to level up and enjoy benefits such as lounge access, priority boarding and free upgrades.
AerClub has increased the level credits you earn with the best Saver and Smart fares.
Savings rates: Tier Credits are doubled from 7.5 to 15 on all flights within Europe
Smart Fares: Tier Credits doubled from 25 to 50 on all Aer Lingus transatlantic flights
These changes have been implemented on eligible flights since early April 2026. The update makes it easier for members to move from Green to Silver, Platinum and Concierge, unlocking more benefits as they move up the tiers.
As a result of these changes, a Green Tier member who flies four Smart fare round-trip trips to North America will now earn 400 Tier Credits, making it easy for him or her to achieve Silver Tier rewards.
Susanne Carberry, Chief Customer Officer, Aer Lingus said: “We know our customers really value the benefits that AerClub status brings, from lounge access to priority boarding. These changes mean members can now earn Tier Credits faster and progress through the tiers more easily, even when flying at our lowest fares. These changes make AerClub more rewarding for our customers, however often they choose to travel with us.”
AerClub members also earn Tier Credits when flying on Aer Lingus partner airlines, including British Airways and American Airlines, by adding their AerClub number during booking or check-in.
Tier credits are used to determine AerClub tier status and recognize members who fly the most. AerClub members can also individually earn Avios, AerClub’s rewards currency, which can be collected not only through flights, but also through shopping through the AerClub eStore, hotel bookings, car rentals and other partners. AerClub members can use their Avios to book Rewards flights or get discounts on flights by choosing Pay with Avios.
