Trump evacuated after shooting at White House correspondents’ dinner

President Trump and first lady Melania were quickly evacuated from the White House Correspondents’ Dinner after shots were fired. RadarOnline.com can report.
On Saturday night, loud noises came from the lobby, prompting Secret Service agents to rush to get the president and first lady to safety.

According to the New York PostAt least four shots rang out at the Washington Hilton, and chaos quickly broke out.
“The Secret Service has since closed the hotel because dozens of reporters are still inside,” the newspaper claimed.
Many other attendees were seen in photos and videos hiding on the ground for their safety. While the investigation continues, Secret Service agents have secured the hotel.
Trump and his wife arrived just 30 minutes before the shooting and sat next to Vice President J.D. Vance and White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt.
Also in attendance were Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth, FBI Director Kash Patel, and U.S. Secretary of Health and Human Services Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and Secretary of State Marco Rubio present.

Trump speaks out after the shooting

Trump used his Truth Social account to comment on the shooting.

After Trump and Melania were rushed to safety, the president used his Truth Social account to speak out.
He wrote: “An entire evening of DC Secret Service and Law Enforcement did a fantastic job. They acted quickly and courageously. The shooter has been apprehended and I have recommended that we let ‘LET THE SHOW GO ON’, but we will be completely guided by Law Enforcement.”
“They will make a decision soon. Regardless of that decision, the evening will go very differently than planned, and we will simply have to do it again.’

Trump called the shooter a “very sick man.”

During the press conference, Trump informed the media that the shooter had been arrested.
He said: “He is a sick person, a very sick person, and we don’t want this kind of thing to happen. I told the representatives that evening, and again, they are talking about freedom of speech in our constitution, it was actually based on freedom of speech and our constitution – I said we will do it again in the next thirty days.”
“WE will make it bigger, better and even more beautiful. I would also like to thank the press, the media, for their very responsible reporting.”

The dinner will be rescheduled within 30 days.

In another post, the president revealed that he and Melania immediately left the premises to follow “police protocol.”
Trump said the two, as well as all Cabinet members, are in “perfect condition” after the nightmare and “will be rescheduled within 30 days.”

In addition to Trump and cabinet members, many reporters and TV presenters were also present, including Wolf Blitzer.
Blitzer has claimed that police said they had a shooter in custody and that he had a “large weapon.”
In an interview on CNN, he added: “I was walking outside to go to the men’s room, and as I was walking back into the main room where the event was taking place, I heard gunshots.
‘The next thing I knew the police officer threw me to the ground. They caught the shooter. The sound was so loud. They grabbed me, the police officers, and took me back to the men’s room, where it was safe.
“There were fifteen other men trapped; they wouldn’t let them out. I’m out now. I happened to be a few feet away from the shooter. I was very close to him when the gunshots were fired, and it was very, very scary. I’m okay now.”

Attempts to assassinate Trump

A bullet grazed his ear and he was quickly brought to safety.

In July 2024, in Butler, Pennsylvania, 20-year-old Thomas Matthew Crooks fired multiple shots from a rooftop during a rally before being killed by a Secret Service counter-sniper.
