Santani Launches “Masters in Residence” Program for 10th Anniversary in 2026 | News

To mark its 10th anniversary in 2026, Santani, the Michelin Key wellness retreat in Sri Lanka, will launch “Masters in Residence,” a year-long program that welcomes globally respected practitioners in the fields of wellness, movement, mindfulness and integrative healing to live and work at the retreat year-round.
The initiative is part of Santani’s anniversary program ’10 Years in Harmony’ and will see international specialists working alongside the retreat centre’s Ayurvedic doctors, therapists and wellbeing experts. Each residence offers guests the opportunity to deepen their wellness journey through specialized workshops, private sessions and immersive experiences integrated into Santani’s core wellness programs.
Based on a philosophy of healing the cause, Santani has spent the past decade redefining modern wellness through a deeply personal approach, rooted in Ayurveda and supported by modern science. The retreat focuses on restoring metabolic balance, improving sleep quality, regulating the nervous system and strengthening long-term resilience – principles Santani describes as Adaptive Wellness.
Nestled in the hills of Kandy overlooking the UNESCO-listed Knuckles Mountains, Santani has quietly become one of Asia’s most revered wellness destinations. Long before longevity became a global wellness trend, Sri Lankan Ayurveda emphasized prevention, rhythm and individualized care – principles that remain central to Santani’s programs today.
The Masters in Residence program is designed as an immersive residency rather than a series of visiting guest appearances. Each practitioner will spend a number of weeks at Santani, allowing their practice to be fully integrated with the retreat’s existing wellness programs and allowing guests to work with them consistently throughout their stay.
“At Santani, peace of mind is the ultimate luxury,” said Vickum Nawagamuwage, Founder and CEO of Santani. “As we celebrate ten years, the Masters in Residence program reflects our belief that meaningful healing takes time, presence and personal care. By welcoming respected practitioners whose work aligns with our philosophy, we can provide guests with deeper and more transformative wellness experiences.”

Availability will be intentionally limited to maintain the retreat’s focus on individual care and depth of experience.
As Santani enters its second decade, the Masters in Residence program reflects the retreat’s continued commitment to a philosophy in which wellness is adaptive, personalized and focused on long-term balance.
