Hilton’s motto debuts in Australia with Sydney CBD Property | News


Hilton today announced the debut of Motto by Hilton in Australia with the signing of Motto by Hilton Sydney City Centre. Motto is a lifestyle brand that is connected, culturally fluid and always ready to go, combining smart compact design, vibrant social spaces and locally inspired experiences in the world’s most vibrant gateways.

This signing marks Hilton’s seventh brand in Australia and reinforces Hilton’s continued evolution in Australia, building on a legacy that began more than 50 years ago with the opening of its first hotel and a history of introducing new hospitality concepts to the market.

Motto by Hilton Sydney City Center is located on York Street in Sydney’s vibrant CBD, steps from The Rocks, Darling Harbour, the Sydney Opera House and the Harbor Bridge, and within walking distance of Barangaroo and the YCK Laneways precinct. Perfectly connected between Wynyard and Town Hall stations, the hotel provides an ideal launching pad to explore Sydney’s culture, dining, entertainment and iconic landmarks.

The spaces at Motto connect, bend and transform to suit how guests and locals move through the day. Motto by Hilton Sydney City Center will feature dynamic communal areas that distinguish the hotel as more than just a place to stay, but a central hub of activity that connects locals and guests alike. The hotel lobby will serve as a communal space for remote working, but also as a place to meet over a cup of coffee or a cocktail and a good conversation.

Dynamic and thoughtful design is at the heart of Motto by Hilton, inviting guests to come together, relax and plan their adventures. In partnership with Invictus Developments, Motto by Hilton Sydney City Center will open in late 2027, with 152 rooms designed to reflect Sydney’s distinctive character and local way of life. The hotel will offer a diverse mix of accommodations, including 96 standard rooms, 14 bunk rooms, 14 flex rooms, eight accessible rooms and 20 suites. For extra flexibility and comfort, the 56 rooms can be connected – ideal for families and small groups.

Food and drink are at the core of the Motto experience and serve as a natural social anchor. Motto brings beloved neighborhood coffee, the city’s most dynamic concepts, inventive mixology and a rooftop bar designed to take the social scene to the next level. Bar-led food and drinks, communal seating and locally driven programming create vibrant social moments that flow seamlessly from morning to evening – from street-level energy to rooftop views.

With 10 Motto by Hilton properties in prime locations around the world, including recent openings in Hong Kong SoHo, Downtown Nashville and New York City Times Square, the Australian expansion is the latest announcement in a pipeline of 23 additional Motto by Hilton properties currently in planning and development.
