Transcript of unaired ’60 Minutes’ interview leaks after Pelley fire

Justice claimed Pelley’s approach was ‘heartless’ and ‘lacked empathy’.

During the interview, Pelley, 68, and Justice, 47, discussed the group’s claim that the Biden administration had launched an investigation into them. Moms for Liberty is a right-wing organization that advocates against materials in schools that mention LGBTQ rights, race and ethnicity, critical race theory, and discrimination.

The Southern Poverty Law Center placed the group on their “hate map,” labeling the organization as a “far-right organization engaged in anti-student inclusion activities.”

Justice claimed that an FBI agent contacted a mother in their network. However, Justice claimed that Pelley pushed back and accused her of lying.

In one part of the alleged transcript, obtained by Daily mailJustice claimed, “You see a blatant disregard for parental rights and then the FBI calls you.”

However, Pelley refuted the claim and told the Justice Department that the FBI does not call, but visits. Justice responded, “You clearly didn’t do your research.”

However, Pelley did not give up and insisted that he was well informed on the subject.

Justice said, “The FBI called a parent. I testified before Congress in March of this year. I have my testimony here if you want to read it.”

Pelley responded, “That didn’t happen, that didn’t happen. That just creates disbelief.’

According to the alleged transcript, Justice agreed to stop the conversation’s direction because she didn’t want to “embarrass” Pelley, who responded, “Well, I’m not embarrassed, but that didn’t happen.”
