Tignes will perform at every level this summer | News

Tignes not only organizes sports; it is literally a natural stadium. The resort has earned the title as a high-altitude training base for Olympic teams, Tour de France participants, international rugby and football teams and world-class individual athletes. This summer, Tignes will open two new MTB routes, a spectacular Himalayan-style pedestrian bridge, the resort’s first wellness retreat and an events calendar that turns the mountains into an arena for everyone. The summer season runs from June 20 to September 6, 2026.

ON YOUR BIKE: TWO NEW MTB TRAILS FOR ALL POSSIBILITIES

Tignes and the wider Tignes – Val d’Isère area already have 230 kilometers of mountain bike trails. This summer, two exciting new additions will open the mountains to even more riders.

La Fario: the perfect e-mountain bike adventure in the valley

Launched in June, ‘La Fario’ is a brand new 40km (80km return) e-MTB route linking Bourg-Saint-Maurice to Tignes through spectacular valley scenery. The route, which is blue rated and suitable for families, has a gentle elevation profile, e-MTB charging points, heritage information boards and multiple access points for flexible routes. All local buses are equipped with bicycle racks, making journeys easy to plan. The ride takes about four hours uphill and three hours downhill.

La Scarefresse redesigned: flow and confidence on an iconic black run

The legendary La Scarefresse black run in the high altitude bike park has been redesigned to be smoother, playful and still very challenging. Open from June 27 to August 28, 2026. Day passes: adults €23, – 14 years €17 (included in the MyTignes card). A Saturday special offers a great price: €15.

WALK ON AIR: TIGNES’ HIMALAYAN FOOTBRIDGE (NEW)

One of the most dramatic new additions this season, the new Himalayan-style hanging pedestrian bridge stretches over 200 meters in length and hangs more than 100 meters above the River Isère, overlooking the La Daille gorges.

The bridge connects the Bois de la Laye botanical trail, built on the site of a former dam quarry full of local heritage, with the authentic hamlet of La Reculaz and offers a gentle but exciting way to experience the mountain landscape. Accessible for all abilities. The best news is that this must-see attraction is free.

ALTITUDE WELLNESS: BODY AND MIND IN THE MOUNTAINS

For the first time, Tignes enters the wellness retreat space with two notable new offerings:

Yoga and wellness retreat at Chalet Hôtel Yéti

The Chalet Hôtel Yéti will host its first mountain wellness retreat from June 26 to 28: a three-day, two-night escape combining Vinyasa and Yin yoga, breathwork, gentle mobility, nature trails and journal writing. Led by physiotherapist and yoga teacher Pauline Kunegel, the retreat is accessible to complete beginners. From €730 per person, including accommodation, meals and activities.

Afternoon Tea & Spa package at Hotel Les Suites

Maison Bouvier’s five-star Les Suites hotel is launching a new bespoke Afternoon Tea & Spa package all summer long. Featuring a granite and reclaimed wood spa interior, indoor heated pool, jacuzzi, hammam, sauna and bespoke muscle recovery treatments, the experience concludes with a gourmet afternoon tea in the Whitney Bar.
