A world beneath the surface
The second largest population of whale sharks in the world is found in the waters of Saleh Bay. As dawn breaks at Amanwana, Moyo Island, guests are transported by boat to these calm, biodiverse waters, where an experienced guide leads the underwater adventure up close. A unique encounter: whale sharks swim just meters away, their mottled skin illuminated as sunbeams pierce the water.

Majestic creatures can also be spotted on diving excursions from Amanvari, Mexico, and the paradise reefs easily accessible from Amanpulo, Philippines, as well as Amanyara, Turks and Caicos Islands, providing unforgettable moments for divers of all levels.

Serene water blessings
The natural springs of Tirta Empul Temple, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, are revered for their healing properties. The Melukat Water Blessing, performed at sunrise between the temple’s purification pools before official opening hours, is one of Amandari’s signature experiences. A profound and compelling event, where stress is washed away and the mind is rejuvenated during the ritual.

Elsewhere, the restorative power of water is celebrated with bathing in thermal springs in the onsen of Amanemu, Japan, and with the Khmer water blessing ritual performed in Amansara, Cambodia.

Moments of mindfulness
Every morning, local monks start their day with a Pradakshina procession: a meditative walking ritual around the ancient UNESCO-listed site of Borobudur, the world’s largest Buddhist temple. From Amanjiwo, Java, embrace this calm and peaceful state of mind and join the monks to meditate amid the majesty of Borobudur.

The footsteps of monks can also be followed in Amankora, Bhutan, where early morning cleansing rituals bring the blessing of good luck, while in Amanbagh, India, guests can experience a sunrise yoga session at the abandoned Maharajah’s Fort in Pratapgarh.
