One of the world’s most special golf experiences is back. The legendary Extreme 19thlocated on the renowned Legendary golf and safari resortofficially reopening on May 7inviting golfers and adventurers to once again play golf’s most dramatic par-3.
Located high on Hanglip Mountainthe Extreme 19th is celebrated worldwide as the longest and most exciting par-3 hole in golf. Accessible only by helicopter, players tee off from the breathtaking Hanglip Mountain, launching their ball over vast bushveld terrain towards a green in the shape of the African continent almost 400 meters below.
The return of this iconic hole marks an exciting moment for both local and international golf enthusiasts. After a seven-year closure, Extreme 19th has been upgraded and refined to mark the start of a new era at Legend Golf & Safari Resort. A game defined not only by scale and spectacle, but also by precision, technology and a deeply immersive player journey.

The relaunch introduces advanced integration of tracking technology, broadcast-quality imagery and personalized data collection.
Central to this evolution is the implementation of FlightScope – bringing elite-level shot tracking to one of the most dramatic tee shots in the world.

Another old favorite and world first that has already been renovated and reopened Legend’s Tribute Golf Coursea ten-hole course that pays tribute to the largest par 3 golf holes ever designed. The world-famous 18-Signatures Golf Course will also be relaunched alongside The Extreme 19th. This championship course was designed by 18 different golf professionals from 15 countries, including names like Justin Rose, Sergio Garcia, Retief Goosen and Padraig Harrington.
