SOUTHWEST AIRLINES STARTS INTERLINE PARTNERSHIP WITH SINGAPORE AIRLINES | News

Southwest Airlines Co. and Singapore Airlines have partnered to offer travelers around the world one-ticket trips to and from the United States, with connections to places served by Southwest and Singapore Airlines. Southwest Executives shared news of the interline partnership at the International Air Transport Association (IATA) annual general meeting in Brazil.

The SIA Group, which also includes Singapore Airlines and Scoot, operates flights to more than 130 destinations in 35 countries and territories, flying between its global hub, Singapore Changi Airport, and three U.S. airports serving the Southwest: Los Angeles (LAX), Seattle/Tacoma (SEA) and San Francisco (SFO). At these shared gateway airports, international travelers can now connect seamlessly to nearly 120 airports in the Southwest network. Tickets are available through Singapore Airlines, travel agents and travel websites.

“Singapore Airlines becomes the eighth airline in our partnership portfolio, reflected in its quality and reach. These airlines facilitate access to our network for a growing global audience who are attracted to our enhanced inflight product and increasingly choose to fly with us,” said Andrew Watterson, Chief Operating Officer of Southwest Airlines. “Trips combining Southwest and Singapore Airlines not only connect new regions, but also create consistent, high-quality customer experiences.”

With assigned seating, optional extra legroom1 and enhanced boarding all introduced earlier this year, Southwest continues to purposefully invest in inflight experiences with feedback-driven improvements toward greater comfort and choice. These thoughtful improvements are intended to showcase the hospitality for which the people of Southwest Airlines are world-renowned.

Southwest Airlines will begin flights at five airports in 2026, including St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands, St. Maarten, Santa Rosa/Sonoma County, California, Knoxville, Tennessee and Anchorage.
