Holland America Line unveils Grand Voyages 2028

Holland America Line has announced the itineraries for the two 2028 Grand Voyages. Guests can choose between a 129-day trip around the world on the Grand World Voyage or a 90-day Grand Australia & New Zealand Voyage.

Both 2028 Grand Voyages feature less-visited ports and iconic destinations. The Grand World Voyage includes a four-day Antarctic Experience, including scenic cruises and onboard programming, in addition to cruises through the South American Chilean Fjords, Glacier Alley and the Beagle Channel, as well as stops at Easter Island and a sail past Null Island, where the Prime Meridian and the Equator intersect at 0°N, 0°E. The Grand Australia & New Zealand Voyage offers extensive exploration of the South Pacific, including a visit to Bora Bora. This is the first time that Holland America Line’s two Grand Voyages will visit the port in the same season.

Highlights of the Grand World Voyage 2028 – Volendam
* Sailing round-trip from Fort Lauderdale, departing January 4, 2028.
* Depart south through the Caribbean and along the east coast of South America en route to Antarctica. The ship then sails north through the Beagle Channel, Glacier Alley and the Chilean fjords before crossing the equator and calling at Easter Island.
* The journey continues through the South Pacific and French Polynesia – including Bora Bora – before spending eight days in six ports in New Zealand.
* Sails north through Australia, Indonesia, Singapore and Sri Lanka before rounding the Cape of Good Hope and crossing the Equator for the second time.
* Cruises through the Gulf of Guinea, passing Null Island and then calling at ports along the West African coast.
* Crosses the Atlantic Ocean and calls at San Juan, Puerto Rico, before returning to Fort Lauderdale.
* 45 ports in 26 countries and territories across six continents.
* 16 Mariners’ Collection ports – only available on Grand Voyages – including Easter Island, Walvis Bay (Namibia), Reunion Island and Cape Verde.
* 31 UNESCO World Heritage Sites visited, including the historic district of the seaport city of Valparaíso in Chile, the Komodo National Park on Komodo Island and the Taj Mahal in India.

Highlights of the Grand Australia & New Zealand Voyage 2028 – Zaandam
*Sails roundtrip from San Diego, departing January 30, 2028.
* Depart west through Hawaii and the South Pacific, crossing the International Date Line en route to New Zealand before continuing to Australia – including remote northwestern and western ports – then returning via Melanesia, Fiji, Samoa and French Polynesia, with an extended stay in Bora Bora, ending in San Diego.
* 41 ports in 12 countries and territories across two continents.
* 13 UNESCO World Heritage Sites visited, including the Great Barrier Reef and Tongariro National Park in New Zealand.
* Night calls in Hobart, Sydney, Cairns, Fremantle (Perth), Auckland and Papeete.

Each Grand Voyage offers an enhanced onboard experience, including enrichment programs, regional cultural artists and special guest headliners. Evening entertainment includes gala balls, chic evenings and the Captain’s Grand Voyage Dinner.
