Hyatt Announces Plans for Hyatt Place Semarang, Expanding Brand Presence in Indonesia | News


Hyatt Hotels Corporation today announced that a Hyatt affiliate has entered into a management agreement with PT PAM and BINA NUSANTARA, strengthening Hyatt’s brand presence in Indonesia and supporting Hyatt’s continued growth in key destinations in Southeast Asia. Hyatt Place Semarang will become part of an integrated ecosystem in Semarang, together with BINUS SCHOOL Semarang, BINUS University @Semarang, 23 Semarang Mall and other supporting facilities. Through this development, BINA NUSANTARA aims to create a connected environment where education, community, lifestyle, business and hospitality can grow together and provide added value to the people of Semarang and the surrounding areas.

As part of Hyatt’s Essentials portfolio, the select-service hotel expected to bring the intuitive design, seamless experiences and 24/7 conveniences of the Hyatt Place brand to the city. Hyatt Place Semarang offers a comfortable, functional and relevant stay experience for various needs, from business trips and family activities to community events and other gatherings. The hotel is expected to become a new icon that will enhance Semarang’s appeal as a growing business, tourism and lifestyle destination.

Hyatt Place Semarang is planned with a total of seven floors and 154 rooms. The hotel will be equipped with various facilities, including a lobby, all-day dining, ballroom, meeting rooms, restaurant, gym, swimming pool and rooftop bar overlooking the Java Sea.

The design of Hyatt Place Semarang is inspired by organic shapes and the character of a coastal city. This concept is reflected in the dynamic shape of the building, the green open spaces and a courtyard that lets in natural light all day long. This approach is expected to create a different experience for visitors while strengthening Semarang’s character as a modern, open and growing coastal city.
