Holland America’s Rotterdam back in service after dry dock | News

Holland America Line’s Rotterdam has returned to service after a two-week dry dock in the Netherlands.

The flagship cruise line has welcomed guests back on board for the ship’s Northern European summer season.

Major improvements include enhancements to 22 Vista Suites, now with new sofa beds, expanding four-person occupancy options.

Billboard Onboard and Rolling Stone Lounge feature additional seating, along with a redesigned center lounge, and the Crow’s Nest has a new stage for live music. A bandstand and live music stage have also been added to the Sea View Pool on Deck 9.

The renovation work at the Effy Jewelery retail location reflects previous updates to work at Koningsdam, Westerdam and Zuiderdam, with new floors, wall finishes, lighting and display fixtures. It also received updated base and wall displays, updated ceiling finishes and a new central chandelier.

The Greenhouse Spa & Salon has been updated with an ergonomic hair washing station and the casino now features 20 additional slot machines, updated seating, updated carpeting and televisions in the table games area.

In addition, new carpeting was installed in the staterooms, guest corridors and public areas. In the main dining room, certain tables have been updated to provide more flexible seating.

The ship’s main public areas also received updates, including new furniture upholstery, hand-polished wooden seating, refinished floors and new wall coverings.

Departures to Rotterdam are included in Holland America Line’s ‘Anniversary Sale’. The sale runs until June 1, 2026 and includes up to US$400 in onboard credit per stateroom when booked with ‘Have It All’ fares, on departures from now until Spring 2027, for cruises ranging from four to 69 days. The credit can be used for amenities such as specialty dining, beverages, spa services, shore excursions, gift shop purchases and onboard photography.
