Etihad and DCT Abu Dhabi launch free travel medical insurance for international visitors | News

Today, Etihad Airways, the national airline of the United Arab Emirates, has partnered with the Department of Culture and Tourism (DCT) Abu Dhabi to offer complimentary travel medical insurance with The National Insurance Company – Daman to all international visitors arriving in Abu Dhabi on Etihad-operated flights. The initiative illustrates the ambition of both Etihad and DCT Abu Dhabi to meet the demand for travel to Abu Dhabi, with an offer that goes beyond the flight itself and ensures that every visitor arrives well-traveled and well-protected.
The insurance is valid from July to December 2026 and is underwritten and administered by The National Insurance Company – Daman, part of PureHealth, and covers eligible visitors for up to 15 days in the UAE. No formal application is required; coverage is automatically provided with every eligible Etihad ticket. Any guest flying to Abu Dhabi on an Etihad service with a departure and point of sale outside the UAE is eligible. Travelers who use Etihad’s free Stopover program to spend time in Abu Dhabi are also covered for the duration of their stay. General terms and conditions apply.
