Cunard unveils world-class entertainment program for 2027 | News

Cunard has unveiled its 2027 entertainment programme, highlighted by the return of four critically acclaimed Event Voyages aboard Queen Mary 2 and a new series of exclusive Entertainment Residencies across its iconic fleet.
Developed in collaboration with some of the world’s leading cultural organisations, the 2027 line-up on board the world’s only ocean liner brings together award-winning theatre, ballet, classical music and literature. Guests can enjoy immersive performances, workshops and exclusive access to world-renowned artists at sea.
Theater aan Zee with the Olivier Awards returns with a program inspired by the upcoming awards season. 2027 marks Cunard’s second year as Headline Partner of the prestigious ceremony named after the late great actor and director Laurence Olivier. The Transatlantic Crossing, from October 20 to 27, 2027, celebrates the very best of theater through exclusive performances, workshops and behind-the-scenes insights.
Dance the Atlantic, in collaboration with English National Ballet, will take place from 16 to 23 July 2027. Guests can enjoy performances from internationally renowned dancers, as well as lectures and workshops offering a unique insight into the world of ballet.
Anthony Inglis and the National Symphony Orchestra return for their 18th year from October 1 to 8, 2027, giving guests the opportunity to experience exceptional classical performances led by acclaimed conductor Anthony Inglis. Guests can also attend lectures and question and answer sessions and participate in the guest choir, rehearsing throughout the trip before a special performance alongside the orchestra.
Literature Festival at Sea, curated by the team behind The Times and Sunday Times Cheltenham Literature Festival, will bring together leading authors, journalists and thought leaders for a week of talks, discussions and literary events celebrating the written word between December 2 and 9, 2027. In addition to the Event Voyages, Cunard is introducing a new program of Entertainment Residencies, spanning Queen Mary 2, Queen Anne, Queen Elizabeth and Queen Victoria.
These residencies will bring award-winning theater companies and critically acclaimed artists aboard select sailings, presenting musicals, literary adaptations, historical dramas and intimate one-man shows. They are all supplemented with workshops, recitals and storytelling experiences. From productions inspired by celebrated cultural figures to interpretations of literary classics, the residencies reflect Cunard’s signature approach to entertainment at sea.
Highlights include The Truman Capote Talk Show, an award-winning portrayal of the celebrated writer; The Essence of Audrey, a new biopic inspired by the life of Audrey Hepburn, of Cunard fame; Frozen Love: A Buckingham Nicks Story, which charts the early relationship of Stevie Nicks and Fleetwood Mac’s Lindsey Buckingham, An Afternoon Stroll with Hilaire Belloc and A Ghost Among the Living.
Katie McAlister, President of Cunard, said: “Entertainment has always been at the heart of the Cunard experience, and our 2027 program brings together leading cultural partners in a way that only Cunard can. From our signature Event Voyages aboard the world’s only ocean liner to new residencies across the fleet, we are giving guests the opportunity to connect with the arts in a way that simply isn’t possible anywhere else.”
