Animated film ‘Survivor’ in the making by Paramount Animation

The tribe has spoken – and wants an animated “Survivor” movie with animal participants. Paramount Animation, in association with CBS, is developing an animated comedy based on CBS’ long-running “Survivor,” with host Jeff Probst serving as executive producer.

The official synopsis reads: “On a remote and mystical island, animals from all over the world compete for a unique opportunity to be crowned the sole survivor.”

“I’m so excited to partner with Paramount Animation to bring you Survivor like you’ve never seen it before…in the animal kingdom!” Probst further wrote his Instagram. “This will be an all-out comedy as animals compete for the chance to be crowned the sole survivor. Let’s go!!!!”

Jennifer Dodge, who was named president of Paramount Animation in November, oversees the division that recently announced Robert Rodriguez’s Christmas movie “The Naughty List” and has “PAW Patrol: The Dino Movie” coming out on August 14.

“Survivor” is hosted by five-time Emmy winner Probst and is currently in production in Fiji for a fall broadcast on CBS. The series debuted in 2000 and recently concluded its 50th season with its most-watched finale since 2020.
