Wisconsin school shooting victims identified
The student and teacher killed in a horrific shooting at a Wisconsin school earlier this week have been identified.
According to the Dane County Medical Examiner’s Office… 14-year-old student Rubi Patricia Vergara and 42-year-old teacher Erin West died Monday in the shooting at Abundant Life Christian School in Madison.
The medical examiner says Erin and Rubi “died as a result of homicidal firearm-related trauma.” The riot police say their deaths remain under investigation by police and the medical examiner.
In their statement, the riot police further say that the shooter is a 15-year-old Natalie Rupnow died due to “firearm-related trauma”… which matches what police had already said.
According to Rubi’s obituary on Gunderson East Burial and Cremation‘s website, she was a freshman at the school.
Her obituary states that she “was an avid reader, loved art, sang and played keyboard in the family worship band. She shared a special bond with her beloved pets”… her cat, Gingerand her dog, Coconut.
