Trump Slams Julia Roberts for Narrating ‘Cringe’ Kamala Harris Ad

Donald Trump criticized Julia Roberts on “Fox & Friends” Saturday for narrating a Harris-Walz campaign ad that reminds women that their vote is their choice, regardless of how their husbands or anyone else votes.

“I’m so disappointed in Julia Roberts. She’ll look back on that and cringe. ‘Did I really say that?’” Trump said as you call into the show. “It doesn’t say much about her relationship, but I’m sure she has a great relationship. The women and the men, I don’t think that’s the way they interact. Can you imagine a woman not telling her husband who she is voting for? Have you ever heard anything like that? Even if you’ve had a terrible – if you’ve had a bad relationship, you’re going to tell your husband. It’s a ridiculous thing. So stupid.”

The ad reported by Roberts was created by the progressive evangelical group Vote Common Good. The video shows a woman in the booth voting for Harris, even though her husband appears to be leaning toward Trump.

“In the only place in America where women still have the right to choose, you can vote any way you want and no one will ever know,” Roberts says, referring to how reproductive rights will be at risk if Trump is re-elected president.

We see the woman in the ad who votes for Harris leave the voting booth and meet her husband, who asks, “Did you make the right choice?” The woman replies, “Yes, dear.” She then shares a look with her friend that clearly shows that voting for Harris is their secret at the voting booth.

“Remember,” Roberts adds as narrator, “what happens in the box, stays in the box.”
