‘America’s Sweethearts’ Star Reece Weaver Buys Home in Alabama for $750,000

Netflix sensation and Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders Darling Ree Wever has already turned the page on her time with the team and planted new roots in the state of Alabama, where she and her husband, Will Allmanjust bought a $750,000 house.

Weaver, 24, who is originally from Florida but met her husband while attending the University of Alabama, became a superstar when she appeared on Netflix’s “America’s Sweethearts.” The hit series documents the grueling tryout process that every member of the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders, or DCC, team must go through each season.

She quickly became one of the breakout stars of the series’ first season, a fame that quickly translated to social media, where she became a verified influencer, parlaying her growing following into a series of lucrative brand deals that eventually allowed her husband to leave his job at a car wash company in Dallas.

Initially, it seems like Weaver was destined to remain one of the team’s leading lights for at least five years – the length of time most DCC members stick to before retiring. So when she announced at the end of the third season that she would be leaving the roster to focus on other goals in her life, fans were devastated.

Although she didn’t reveal what those goals were on the show, the cheerleading star revealed on her Instagram account this month that at least one of them took her to Alabama, and announced that she and Allman are the proud new owners of a property in Tuscaloosa.

“Home SWEET home,” she wrote on her account, sharing photos of the happy couple posing next to their beloved dog outside their new abode.

The post was quickly flooded with congratulatory messages from other members of the team, including Charlie Barbiewho praised the elegant home as ‘perfect’ Kelly Villares commented: “Can’t wait to visit. So happy for you two.”

While Weaver hasn’t shared any further details about the home, property records show that she and her husband closed on the property on May 11, just a few weeks before news of her departure from DCC was revealed to stunned fans.

Located on half an acre of land in a picturesque suburb of Tuscaloosa, the property offers plenty of space for some of Weaver’s former teammates to drop by, if they so choose. It offers four bedrooms, 3.5 bathrooms and more than 3,600 square feet of living space.

The property was built in 2013 and ‘thoughtfully’ designed, according to the advertisement. It features several spacious living areas, as well as outdoor entertaining areas, along with an external fireplace.

The home is also just a short distance from the couple’s alma mater, the University of Alabama, where Weaver was a prominent member of the dance team.

Weaver and Allman, who worked with a real estate agent Jessica Gilmore from Arc Realty when purchasing their home, can also be assured that they will enjoy ample privacy in the home, which is located behind a gated driveway, giving them the chance to relax, away from prying eyes.

However, the former dancer has already given her fans and followers a brief glimpse inside the home on her Instagram account, as she filmed herself preparing for a trip to New York City, where she took part in promotional events for the final season of the Netflix show.

Weaver and her husband also shared an emotional insight into their lives since her time with the cheerleading squad ended several months ago. Although the show’s final season has only just been released, the events it documents took place during the 2025 NFL season.

Getting started with the Wall Street Journal In their new residence, Weaver expressed her frustration that so many of the show’s fans have directed vitriol at her husband – with many blaming him for her departure from the team, suggesting that he has required her to fill the role of housewife.

During the Netflix show’s third season, Weaver struggled to figure out where her future lay — with the team, or without — and she repeatedly turned to her husband for advice, breaking down in tears several times, including when she prayed with him in their car before delivering her news to the team director: Kelli Finglass.

But Weaver insisted her husband was only supportive of her decision, telling the newspaper he was prepared to stand by her side whether she chose to continue with the DCC or not.

“It makes me frustrated because that couldn’t be further from the truth,” the former Netflix star said. “He was so helpful no matter what decision I made.”

For his part, Allman quickly shrugged off the backlash, noting that it’s only natural for his wife’s fans to look for someone or something to blame for her departure.

Although the former cheerleader has yet to reveal where her future career path could take her, she has not yet been able to cut ties with the Dallas-based team. She joined her former co-stars on a promotional tour of the US, appearing alongside host on the shows “Today” and “The Tonight Show”. Jimmy Fallon.

During a recent appearance on the “Human School” podcast, Weaver also shed some light on her next steps, admitting that she’s still “trying to figure out what’s next,” but already has some “fun projects” in the bank.

“We don’t know what the next steps are, but we know the Lord called us back to Tuscaloosa and we had so much peace with that,” she said. “We have some other fun projects I’ve been working on.

“While I’ve been with the Cowboys, I have a book coming out that’s very exciting. There are things in the works and things to come. But right now I feel like I’m in a part of my life where I’m trying to feel encouraged and inspired and really see what’s next.”
