Taylor accused of making ‘PR distraction’ to keep wedding venue secret

Taylor Swift is facing speculation about her rumored lavish wedding celebration Madison Square Garden in New York is actually a carefully orchestrated diversion designed to hide the true location of her wedding to Travis Kelce – with industry insiders telling RadarOnline.com the superstar is determined to keep the ceremony private until the last possible moment.
The 36-year-old singer, who got engaged to the Kansas City Chiefs last August, also 36, will reportedly get married on Friday, July 3.
Reports have pegged the couple’s location at Madison Square Garden, where permits have reportedly been filed for a large private event, while other sources believe the ceremony will instead take place at Swift’s home in Rhode Island, with any arena event afterward serving as a party.
The conflicting stories have sparked intense speculation about what many have described as one of the most watched celebrity weddings this year.
An entertainment industry source said the mix-up appeared intentional and called it a scam.
The insider added: “There is a growing belief among those working in the entertainment industry that the Madison Square Garden reports are serving exactly the purpose they are intended to serve: keeping all attention focused on one much-talked-about location while keeping the real plans out of sight.
“Taylor has spent her career mastering the narrative surrounding her personal life, and she is exceptionally good at using public speculation to her advantage.”
They added: “Having everyone look at one location gives her the freedom to organize something much more intimate elsewhere without the same level of scrutiny. Nothing about the mix-up feels accidental. If anything, it seems like a very deliberate strategy designed to protect what will likely be the most important day of her life.”
Another source familiar with celebrity event planning added: “When you’re dealing with a guest list that reportedly numbers in the hundreds, it’s entirely plausible that this isn’t a one-event wedding. High-profile couples often divide the celebration into separate parts: an intimate ceremony for family and closest friends, followed by a much larger reception or party for a wider circle of guests.
“That would explain why there are so many conflicting reports about locations. Different people may have real information, but they may simply be talking about different stages of the celebration rather than the wedding itself.”
The rumors intensified after Ed Kelce, Travis’ father, expressed his excitement about the wedding while speaking to Fox 29 Philadelphia.
He said, “I’m super excited. (Swift) is a sweetheart.”
San Francisco 49ers player George Kittle also hinted that preparations were underway after revealing he was ready for the party.
He later acknowledged that he had tried unsuccessfully to discover Kelce’s location, saying, “I asked Travis last night and he laughed at me.” I half expect there to just be a jumbo jet on the runway, and they put us on a plane somewhere. I have no expectations. I know it’s going to be great.’
Kittle’s comments have only added to speculation that the guests themselves may not know where the ceremony will take place until the last minute.
Reports suggesting Madison Square Garden as a venue focused on permit applications related to an event planning company and preparations for an event with hundreds of attendees.
According to published reports, transportation and security personnel have also been warned that a major event may occur over the July 4 holiday weekend.
However, several potential locations in Manhattan have publicly ruled themselves out.
Representatives from St. Patrick’s Cathedral dismissed reports that Swift would get married there, while staff at other prominent venues, including Radio City Music Hall and the Beekman Hotel, also said they were unaware of wedding plans.
Attention has therefore shifted to Swift’s estate in Rhode Island, where some industry observers believe the ceremony could take place before guests travel elsewhere for a larger reception.
A source said: “Many people believe that Madison Square Garden could end up being the venue for the festivities rather than the ceremony itself. The couple could exchange their vows in a much smaller, closely guarded environment before bringing everyone together for a spectacular party afterwards.
“That approach would give Taylor and Travis the opportunity to enjoy the most private part of the day, away from cameras and crowds, while still hosting the kind of large-scale event that their friends and an extensive guest list would expect. It would strike a balance between protecting their privacy and creating a memorable experience for all guests.”
Among those expected to attend are Selena Gomez and her partner Benny Blanco, Gigi Hadid and Bradley Cooper, Suki Waterhouse and Robert Pattinson, along with musician sisters Este Haim, Danielle Haim and Alana Haim, and supermodel Cara Delevingne.
