CBS’ “The Young and the Restless”/”Beyond the Gates” crossover resulted in strong ratings for “Beyond the Gates” the week of June 8. The show averaged 1.8 million viewers throughout the week, an 11% increase over season-to-date numbers. This makes it the third most watched week for the soap since ‘Beyond the Gates’ premiered in February 2025.
Meanwhile, “The Young and the Restless” also saw a slight increase the week of June 8, with 3.11 million viewers – a 2% increase over the season average (3.06 million viewers) thanks to a visit from guest stars Shemar Moore and Vivica A. Fox.
First announced in January, the “Beyond the Gates” crossover centered around six characters from “Young and the Restless” (Eric Braeden, Michael Mealor, Peter Bergman, Susan Walters, Melissa Ordway and Bryton James) who appeared for the multi-episode event.
As a result, “Beyond the Gates” scored the most-watched Thursday (on June 11, 1.83 million viewers, up 11% from the previous week) and Friday (on June 12, 1.84 million viewers, up 11% from the previous week) ever.
The show’s Tuesday (June 9, 1.80 million viewers, up 16% from the same day in 2025) was the most-watched Tuesday since February 24, and Wednesday (June 10, 1.87 million viewers – up 17% from the previous week) was the most-watched Tuesday since February 24.
Here was the logline for the crossover: “Old friends Vernon Dupree (Clifton Davis, ‘Beyond the Gates’) and Victor Newman (Eric Braeden, ‘The Young and the Restless’) reunite at a high-profile political fundraiser, with the event transporting six iconic residents of Y&R’s Genoa City, including Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman), Diane Jenkins Abbott (Susan Walters), Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor), Devon Winters (Bryton James) and Abby Newman (Melissa Ordway) in BTG’s chic gated community, Fairmont Crest, culminating in a shocking tornado.”
As for “The Young and the Restless,” Moore and Fox appeared in the June 8 and 9 episodes. The Monday, June 8 episode averaged 3.2 million viewers – a 9% increase from the same day in 2025, and the Tuesday, June 9 episode averaged 3.01 million viewers.
