Jinger Duggar ‘devastated’ after Brother Joseph and Kendra’s arrests

As she explained, Josh, the eldest of 19 children, was accused in 2015 of abusing five girls – including four of his sisters and a babysitter – when he was a teenager. It was also revealed that Josh had cheated on his wife, Anna Duggar.

“My brain hadn’t quite caught up with the reality of what had happened in a few hours,” Jinger wrote of the aftermath. “Earlier that day, Dad had gathered my siblings and me together to tell us that the worst trial in our family history, one we had long faced and made peace with, was now public knowledge.”

“One of my siblings had made some sinful choices, but it was all years ago,” she added. ‘It had been terrible, but we had dealt with it as a family. We had sought the Lord, taken the necessary steps to heal, and offered our forgiveness. Now that it was in public, the old wound was open again, raw and painful.”
