RMS partners with SUNY Niagara to prepare technology graduates | News

RMS, a leading global technology platform for the hospitality industry, has partnered with SUNY Niagara’s Hospitality Management Program to provide students with hands-on experience using industry-leading property management technology.
As part of the partnership, students studying at the Niagara Falls Culinary Institute (NFCI), a division of SUNY Niagara, will use the RMS platform during their Hospitality Management education, gaining hands-on experience in key hotel operations including reservations, front desk management, housekeeping, sales, revenue management and reporting.
The partnership supports SUNY Niagara’s transformation of its Hospitality Management Program, which has been redesigned to provide students with hands-on experience with the technology used in modern hospitality operations. Through dedicated Hotel Operations courses, students learn both frontline and back-office functions, allowing them to graduate with practical, job-ready skills.
As RMS supports operators across all hospitality sectors, students will also be introduced to outdoor hospitality management, broadening their understanding of the wider sector and creating additional career pathways upon graduation.
Adam Seskis, CEO at RMS, said: “The hospitality industry is developing rapidly and the next generation of talent needs to understand the technology at the heart of modern operations. A property management system is the operational heart of any hospitality business, so early exposure to these systems is critical.
“By providing students with hands-on experience with real-world hospitality technology, SUNY Niagara is helping develop confident, tech-ready professionals with the practical skills today’s employers need. We are proud to support this mission and help students enter the workforce ready to contribute from day one.”
Daniel DiPirro, Professor of Hospitality Management at SUNY Niagara, said, “We are excited to partner with RMS to provide our students with leading hospitality technology. Based at the Niagara Falls Culinary Institute, our program prioritizes experiential learning, complementing our student-run restaurant, Savor, and bake shop, La Patisserie. We are in constant dialogue with our regional hotel partners, who consistently emphasize the need for workforce-ready talent that requires minimal onboarding.
“With the support of the Statler Foundation Grant and our partnership with RMS, we are able to give our students the hands-on training they need to enter the industry with confidence and immediate impact.”
With RMS embedded in the curriculum, SUNY Niagara is strengthening its commitment to preparing graduates with the practical skills, technology experience and industry confidence needed to succeed in modern hospitality.
