Kamala Harris returns to the Late Show with Stephen Colbert on Tuesday
Vice President Kamala Harris returns to CBS’ “The Late Show With Stephen Colbert,” marking the Democratic presidential candidate’s first late-night interview since clinching the nomination in August. Harris will appear on “The Late Show” (airing weekdays at 11:35 PM ET) next Tuesday, October 8.
According to CBS, Harris’ appearance next Tuesday will be her seventh with Colbert on “The Late Show,” most recently on March 15, 2023. Harris first appeared on April 19, 2018, when she was still a U.S. senator from California.
Harris on “The Late Show” comes one night after her running mate, Minnesota governor and Democratic vice presidential candidate Tim Walz, is scheduled to appear as a guest on ABC’s “Jimmy Kimmel Live.” Walz’s booking on Monday, October 7 represents his first-ever late night appearance.
Meanwhile, Harris and Walz will both appear on Monday’s primetime election special “60 Minutes.” The hour-long edition, airing October 7 at 8 PM ET, features correspondent Bill Whitaker as he joins the Democratic ticket on the campaign trail for in-depth interviews with Vice President Kamala Harris and Governor Tim Walz to gain insight they get the priorities and values of the platform, and what the candidates think voters should know.”
Also in the episode, the show’s Scott Pelley said that “60 Minutes” will address “why former President Donald Trump’s Republican ticket and Senator J.D. Vance will not participate in a ’60 Minutes’ interview for this election special.”
As for “The Late Show,” the late night series, from The Late Show Inc. and CBS Studios in association with Spartina Industries, is executive produced by Stephen Colbert, Tom Purcell and Jon Stewart.
