IHG Hotels & Resorts brings HUALUXE to the Taiwanese market with the signing of Taipei | News

IHG Hotels & Resorts has signed HUALUXE Taipei in partnership with Fullon Hotels & Resorts, marking the brand’s debut in the Taiwanese market and another step forward in bringing HUALUXE Hotels & Resorts to more markets around the world. Expected to open in 2026, the hotel builds on the partners’ successful collaboration at voco Chiayi and IHG’s growing presence in the Taiwanese market.
The signing comes as Taiwan’s hospitality market enters a new phase of quality growth, supported by resilient local demand, a more diverse international visitor base and travelers looking for richer ways to experience city life. This creates opportunities for HUALUXE, IHG’s premium brand shaped by cultural heritage and contemporary hospitality, to create guest experiences based on thoughtful etiquette, local character and the art of gathering.
Located in Taipei’s Dalongdong Historic District, next to Yuanshan MRT Station, the 199-room HUALUXE Taipei puts guests within easy reach of cultural attractions including Taipei Confucius Temple, Dalongdong Baoan Temple and Dadaocheng. Surrounded by heritage architecture, neighborhood life and strong connections throughout the city, the hotel will build on the character of the location through thoughtful design, attentive service and HUALUXE’s signature approach to tea, dining and social gatherings. Together, these experiences invite guests to slow down and discover Taipei’s everyday charm.

Taipei combines established business demand, international connectivity and rich cultural depth, making it an ideal setting for HUALUXE’s debut into the Taiwanese market. Watch with Fullon we look forward to creating a premium hospitality experience with a strong sense of place for local and international guests, while contributing to the long-term development of Taiwan’s hospitality sector.”

More broadly, the signing underlines HUALUXE’s continued expansion into more markets. Since launching in 2012, the brand has continued to build momentum in major cities and key resort destinations, with a portfolio that includes 27 open hotels worldwide and 20 in the pipeline as of the first quarter of 2026.
With HUALUXE Taipei, IHG will further strengthen its premium portfolio in the Taiwanese market. Since entering the market with Holiday Inn Express Taoyuan in 2008, IHG has grown to 17 open hotels across eight brands, including Luxury & Lifestyle, Premium and Essentials. The signing reflects IHG’s continued focus on growing with the right brands, locations and partners to serve local and international guests.
