Jim Henson Company is not selling a Muppet Studios lot to the Church of Scientology
The Jim Henson The company’s Los Angeles studio lot is NOT being sold to the Church of Scientology, TMZ has confirmed.

But in a statement issued Saturday, the legendary puppeteer’s estate denied any sale ever took place.
“Regarding the recent rumors regarding the sale of the La Brea studio, the Henson family has no business dealings with the Church of Scientology, and that organization does not qualify as a potential buyer of the property,” the statement said. partially.
“It is still the family’s intention to move The Jim Henson Company to a new location that it can share with Jim Henson’s Creature Shop, but at this time the family is not in trust with any buyer,” the estate said.
It also housed the famous studio lot, originally built in 1919 Charlie Chaplin Studios. The Henson family purchased it in 1999 and it has served as the headquarters for the Jim Henson Company ever since.
The studio lot is right off La Brea and Sunset Boulevard…so it’s a piece of prime real estate.
