Mews and SiteMinder pioneer best-in-class distribution within the hotels operating system | News

Mews, the hospitality operating system, and SiteMinder, the leading hotel commerce platform, have collaborated to create the hospitality industry’s first fully integrated, best-in-class distribution solution. The solution, which was introduced today at Mews Unfold in Amsterdam, will ensure that SiteMinder’s distribution capabilities are embedded into the Mews operating system by default. This marks the first time that hotels of any size will have access to the industry’s largest distribution network without leaving the platform that powers their properties.

Managing operations and distribution from one platform will remove the daily hassle from hotels. Availability, rates, inventory and other content are handled in one place, closing a gap that hotels had to manually bridge between two systems. Hotels will move faster, with rate, inventory and content changes flowing directly to every connected channel.

The integrated solution represents Mews and SiteMinder’s shared vision of one connected workflow, where rates flow directly through the world’s largest distribution network and results return to the same operating system in which the rates were set. There’s nothing lost in translation, no delay, and no number mismatches. The feedback loop is shortening and hoteliers are moving at a speed and scale not previously possible. The basis of all this: AI that gets smarter the more it is used.

These types of opportunities only come from a deep partnership that goes beyond superficial integrations. By building at the API level, Mews and SiteMinder create an experience that wouldn’t otherwise be possible. For Mews, SiteMinder’s distribution engine completes an operating system that manages all revenue, activity, and guest journey. For SiteMinder, it marks an evolution of its platform, which has established itself over the past twenty years as the premier commercial solution for hotels and is today used by more than 53,000 people worldwide for distribution, revenue optimization and intelligence.

“If something is already the best in the world, we don’t try to rebuild it. SiteMinder is the best at distribution. Our job is to bring what hotels need in one place, with AI working at every layer. For hotels, the result is simple: one operating system, one contract, one place to manage everything from how guests find you to how your property works. It’s pricing, distribution and performance all in one place,” says Richard Valtr, founder of Mews.

The simpler experience for hotels is likely to increase their speed to market and, crucially, encourage greater adoption of technology within the hotel sector. Recent research from SiteMinder shows that 65% of hoteliers believe faster, fully integrated systems can generate at least 6% more annual revenue – representing billions in opportunity in the $1.2 trillion global lodging industry.

“SiteMinder has always stood for accessibility and choice, and so this partnership with Mews is a natural evolution of our platform. We have long admired Mews for their innovation and strong product vision. By integrating our distribution engine with a forward-thinking platform like theirs, we are opening up our platform to hoteliers to access SiteMinder in the way that best suits the way they want to work,” said Sankar Narayan, CEO and Managing Director at SiteMinder.

Nearly 3,000 hotels already run both Mews and SiteMinder side by side, managing operations in one and distribution in the other. In the coming months, these hotels will transition to Mews Channel Manager, powered by SiteMinder, which can be accessed directly within Mews.
