The Group, Merrimac Ventures and Hilton celebrate historic milestone | News

Prominent real estate developers, the Group and Merrimac Ventures, joined industry leader Hilton to celebrate the completion of Waldorf Astoria Residences Pompano Beach (The Residences), marking the completion of vertical construction for the brand’s first-ever standalone residential venture. Located on two acres of pristine oceanfront along the Pompano Beach coastline, the 28-story condominium tower is more than 85% pre-sold, with completion scheduled for summer 2027.

The culmination represents a defining milestone and builds on nearly a century of unparalleled elegance and service, offering for the first time ever a private residence that is separate from the rhythm of hotel life, yet steeped in everything that has made the Waldorf Astoria name legendary.

“It is an honor to work so closely with the Waldorf Astoria team as we together pioneer a new format for the iconic brand,” said Nick Pérez, president of Group’s Condominium Division. “It’s one thing to announce a project and present a vision. It’s another to see the structure reach its full height and grandeur. It’s been a true team effort and we look forward to welcoming our owners home next summer.”

The Residences introduces 92 luxury condominium homes with stunning views of the Atlantic Ocean and the Intracoastal Waterway. The architecture is led by Nichols Architects in collaboration with KORA, with interiors by BAMO and landscaping by Enea Landscape, creating homes that combine timeless elegance and a curated coastal lifestyle. Floor plans offer two to five bedrooms from 2,100 to 6,100 square feet, thoughtfully designed to fit a variety of lifestyles. Each residence is accessed via a private elevator and a dedicated foyer, which unfolds into sun-drenched living spaces framed by floor-to-ceiling glass and expansive terraces – designed for effortless indoor-outdoor living with sweeping views of the Atlantic Ocean and the Intracoastal Waterway.

At the tower’s peak, the boutique Penthouse Collection, priced from $16 million to $20 million, sets a new standard for luxury in Pompano Beach, with expansive wraparound terraces, a private elevator and up to 75 feet of direct ocean frontage. The two upper penthouses offer a rooftop entertainment experience, with terraces ranging from 3,200 to 3,500 square feet, complete with air-conditioned entertainment areas, summer kitchens and private pools, creating a private resort experience in the sky.

Located along 200 feet of beach with a private marina for nearly two dozen vessels, Waldorf Astoria Residences Pompano Beach offers a lifestyle defined by privacy, convenience and service. Amenities include a 20,000-square-foot oceanfront pool deck, spa and wellness facilities, fitness studios and a children’s entertainment center, all managed by Waldorf Astoria staff. Signature services such as a 24-hour concierge, in-residence dining and dedicated beach and pool service are seamlessly integrated into everyday life.

“Our family always believed this site deserved something truly distinctive,” said Dev Motwani, CEO of Merrimac Ventures. “The progress we have made in construction, combined with strong pre-sales, reinforces how positively this development is resonating with buyers.”

The milestone comes as Pompano Beach continues to evolve into a luxury destination, driven by both public investment and private development. The city has committed more than $80 million to beachfront improvements, including a redesigned pier, new parking garages, streetscape upgrades and the creation of the Pompano Beach Fishing Village, which has become a vibrant hub for dining, shopping and leisure. Combined with new residential and hospitality developments along the coastline, these investments are helping to reposition the area as an emerging luxury enclave in South Florida.
