Signia by Hilton Diplomat Beach Resort officially debuts, marking a new era for South Florida | News

Diplomat Beach Resort opens as Signia by Hilton Diplomat Beach Resort, heralding a bold new chapter for the coastal beacon. The transition marks the property’s evolution into Signia by Hilton’s growing portfolio of accessible luxury hotels around the world, as the legendary Hollywood Beach address introduces the brand’s vibrant atmosphere, experiential dining, refined wellness offerings and premier meetings and events to South Florida.
The 1,000-room resort originally opened in 1958 and now offers an updated vision for today’s traveler. Following the acquisition of Trinity Investments in 2023, an $80 million transformation of public spaces and dining options strengthens the company’s role as a central gathering place for large-scale events, while aligning with Signia by Hilton’s sophisticated approach to hospitality.
“The Diplomat has long been one of South Florida’s most iconic properties, and this transformation marks an important next chapter – not only for the hotel, but for Hilton’s continued growth in the region,” said Chris Nassetta, president and CEO of Hilton. “As we expand Signia by Hilton to key gateway and resort destinations, this property is a great example of how we are building on a strong foundation to meet what today’s travelers are looking for: thoughtful design, distinctive dining and unforgettable experiences.”
“Signia by Hilton Diplomat Beach Resort represents a defining moment for the Signia by Hilton brand as we continue our pivotal growth phase with openings and signings around the world,” said Meghan Fitzgerald, Global Brand Leader, Signia by Hilton. “This opening introduces a new type of luxury stay – combining sophisticated design, exceptional service and world-class experiences that bring guests together in meaningful ways, from large-scale events to everyday moments, in one of the country’s most dynamic markets.”

“The debut of Signia by Hilton Diplomat Beach Resort marks an important milestone in realizing our long-term vision for the property,” said Sean Hehir, managing partner, president and CEO of Trinity Investments. “Together with Hilton, we have focused on making thoughtful, strategic investments throughout the resort – proudly bringing together a world-class brand platform with our hands-on approach to enhance the property’s positioning, build on its lasting legacy and enhance its reputation as one of South Florida’s premier beach destinations.”
A new collection and an elevated design
The resort’s redesigned lobby is a vibrant social hub, drenched in lush greenery and bathed in natural light. This tropical retreat has been thoughtfully designed for the way guests connect today, layering lounge chairs, communal tables and intimate nooks, creating an effortless flow from work and dining to networking and creative moments. It’s where the energy of the resort meets the art of coming together, an atmosphere that feels both relaxed and inspired.

Just beyond the lobby, guests arrive at The Verandah, the resort’s newly designed outdoor oceanfront destination, designed to embrace the open-air lifestyle of South Florida. The expansive deck now offers a collection of unique experiences, from the Solara Infinity Pool and the redesigned Grand Lagoon Pool to the adults-only Verandah Social Club, in addition to elevated cabanas and daybeds, a new oceanfront Jacuzzi and attentive service throughout. Nearby, Horizon Lawn, a brand new open-air event space, provides a picturesque setting for sophisticated meetings and events, family activities and live entertainment. Together with 300 meters of semi-private beach, The Verandah reinforces the resort’s identity as a modern coastal destination.
Destination Dining as a defining pillar
Culinary has become a cornerstone of the repositioning of the building. Introduced earlier this year, the six redesigned dining options now offer a connected day-to-night experience that goes far beyond traditional hotel fare. At the heart of the food and beverage program is culinary director Miguel Santiago, whose influence is palpable in all concepts.
Palmea Kitchen sets the tone every morning with breakfast classics with Mediterranean influences in an airy, green environment where guests can start the day with dishes such as shakshuka and orange blossom French toast. For quick but equally thoughtful offers, head to The Press, a lively resort café serving fresh juices, specialty coffees and handmade pastries.
Solara transforms the lobby into a sophisticated all-day lounge defined by tropical modernism and globally inspired cuisine, offering a seamless transition from daytime activities to evening cocktails. The nights culminate at Diplomat Prime, the resort’s signature steakhouse, where precision, craftsmanship and design-forward interiors reflect a renewed commitment to culinary excellence.

Together, the concepts reflect Signia’s emphasis on chef-driven bars and restaurants that invite guests and locals alike into spaces for meeting and connection.
Meet Club Signia
A defining addition is Club Signia, an exclusive experience on the 33rd floor. The Club itself covers 6,660 square meters of indoor and terrace space with stunning views of the Atlantic Ocean and the coast. It is a sophisticated, tranquil retreat with a highly personalized, service-oriented experience available to guests booking premium room categories on floors 32 to 36 and Hilton Honors Diamond Reserve members.
Inspired by private membership clubs, Club Signia offers personalized pre-arrival contact by a dedicated ambassador, priority access to hotel amenities and an intimate lounge environment that changes throughout the day. Guests can enjoy curated breakfasts, lunch presentations, evening cocktails and sweets, wellness-focused bites and enhanced in-room amenities, creating a seamless, high-touch experience from morning to night.

Another notable addition is The Verandah Social Club, an adults-only outdoor pool and cabana area that can be reserved through ResortPass for both hotel guests and South Florida visitors or locals. Drawing from international beach clubs in design and experience, the newly built pool deck transforms the resort’s backyard with a touch of sophistication. The open-air social club, secluded from the Solara pool and lagoon pool, while retaining ocean views and direct access to the beach, introduces a fresh way to experience the property’s iconic coastline, combining poolside luxury, culinary moments and wellness offerings in a sophisticated, high-end environment. Visitors can soak up the sun while enjoying perks like private changing rooms, beach seating, caviar service, and spa treatments in the cabana. Reservations also include an exclusive discount on same-day reservations at the hotel’s Kids Club Day Camp and discounted parking, making it an attractive ‘daycation’ experience for locals.
A legacy renewed
From entertainment icons to presidential speeches and global conferences, The Diplomat has long served as the backdrop to defining moments in American culture. Beloved by well-traveled tourists and business guests for nearly 70 years, the hotel stands out as one of the nation’s premier meeting and event venues, with more than 200,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor space, a 50,000-square-foot Great Hall, four ballrooms and 39 breakout rooms designed for meetings of all sizes.
This is complemented by the top-rated wellness centre, The Diplomat Spa + Wellness, and a robust range of amenities including complimentary water sports, cycling and beach fitness classes, daily activities, recreation and live entertainment.
Located between Miami and Fort Lauderdale with easy access to two international airports, The Diplomat continues to capture the cosmopolitan energy of South Florida while offering an elevated escape rooted in sophistication, intention and place.

Guests can currently enjoy the brand’s signature experience at Signia by Hilton Atlanta Georgia World Congress Center, Signia by Hilton Orlando Bonnet Creek, Signia by Hilton La Cantera Resort & Spa, Signia by Hilton San Jose and Signia by Hilton Amman. Looking ahead, Signia by Hilton will expand to Tainan, Taiwan; Jaipur, India; Cairo, Egypt; Savannah, GA; Indianapolis, Ind. and more.
