Hilton will more than double its portfolio in Morocco with new acquisitions and debut of Waldorf Astoria | News

Hilton is on track to more than double its portfolio in Morocco, with plans to open 15 new hotels in destinations across the kingdom. The latest agreements include the debut of Tapestry Collection by Hilton in Morocco, in addition to the continued expansion of Hilton’s multi-brand presence in Curio Collection by Hilton, DoubleTree by Hilton and Hilton Garden Inn. Hilton also recently opened Waldorf Astoria Rabat Salé, the luxury brand’s first hotel in the country.

Following his recent visit to Morocco, Hilton President and CEO Chris Nassetta said: “Morocco is a strategically important market for Hilton, where we plan to more than double our portfolio to 25 hotels in the coming years. With a rich tradition of hospitality and a fast-growing tourism sector, the country continues to attract more and more visitors, and we see clear opportunities to expand into both established cities and emerging destinations. Working closely with our partners in the public and private sectors, our latest additions – in addition to the opening of Waldorf Astoria Rabat Salé – underline this momentum and our ambition to bring Hilton’s exceptional hospitality to more guests across the country.”

Hilton marks a major milestone with the opening of Waldorf Astoria Rabat Salé. The luxury hotel, located in the iconic Mohammed VI Tower – Morocco’s tallest building – will have 55 rooms and suites.

Located where the twin cities of Rabat and Salé meet, the hotel offers panoramic views from the Bouregreg River to the Atlantic Ocean. It draws inspiration from the stars with celestial motifs woven throughout the design. Guests can enjoy multiple distinctive dining experiences – including Aldabaran, Chef Alain Ducasse’s signature restaurant – indulge in a serene spa, explore one of the region’s most extensive private art collections, or host unforgettable moments across 1,300 square meters of event space. Waldorf Astoria Rabat Salé marks a defining milestone for Hilton’s luxury portfolio, introducing one of the world’s most iconic hospitality brands to Morocco, bringing its legacy of timeless elegance and bespoke, experience-driven luxury to the capital.
