Sandbox Festival 2026 brings Dixon, Bedouin and map to the Red Sea in Egypt | News

Sandbox Festival returns to Egypt’s Red Sea coast from May 7 to 9, offering three days of world-class electronic music against one of the Mediterranean’s most stunning backdrops. The 12th edition of the festival brings together Dixon, Bedouin, Floorplan, DJ Tennis and Craig Richards with more than 50 international artists on five carefully designed stages in the luxurious coastal town of El Gouna.

With over 7,000 visitors from over 50 countries, Sandbox has established itself as the premier electronic music destination in the Middle East and North Africa, where the underground legacy of Berlin meets the atmospheric innovation of Brooklyn on the shores of the Red Sea.

Five signature phases and three mini-phases

What sets Sandbox apart from traditional festival experiences is its groundbreaking acoustic technology. Strategically positioned among natural dunes with layered sound barriers, each of the five stages operates simultaneously without audio interference, a rarity in outdoor festival design that preserves the integrity of each artist’s performance.

The Playground Stage features headliners Dixon and Tripolism, while the intimate Groovebox Stage hosts extended sets from Dan Shake, Anthea and Makèz. The nighttime heartbeat of the festival, Sandbox Stage, features Craig Richards, Floorplan, DJ Tennis and Roza Terenzi pushing the boundaries of the genre until 5am.

During the day, the energy pulses at the Beach Hut, where Bedouin, JAMIIE and Job Jobse provide sunset sessions while kitesurfers glide over turquoise waters. The Space Stage and the returning Secret Stage complete the experience with immersive programming and spontaneous artist collaborations.

Located just 30 minutes from Hurghada International Airport, El Gouna offers special festival accommodation packages in 18 hotels and luxury residences. The destination combines world-class amenities with an arts and culture scene that transforms the festival into a complete coastal getaway.

“Our lineup reflects the beautiful mosaic of electronic dance music,” says founder Tito El Kachab. “This is about celebrating the global dance community.”
