The moment Trump became ‘angry’ at fired Kristi Noem revealed

Donald Trump’s breaking point with the embattled Kristi Noem came down to an explosive comment she made during her fiery testimony before the United States Senate Judiciary Committee: RadarOnline.com can reveal.
The president blamed the controversial Homeland Security chief after she bragged that he had signed off on her wasting $220 million of taxpayer money on glossy ads starring himself, later insisting he “never knew anything about it” before dropping the ax on March 5.
Republican Senator John Kennedy of Louisiana questioned Noem on Wednesday, March 4, about the eye-watering cost of the ads, demanding to know: “How does that compare to the fact that you spent $220 million on television advertising that prominently features you?”
Noem fired back, “Sir, the President has instructed me to spread the message to the country and to other countries by airing advertisements that if they were in the country illegally, they should leave.”
Kennedy was shocked into disbelief.
“To me, it puts the president in a terribly difficult position. I’m not saying don’t tell the truth,” he told the then-border boss.
Kennedy scoffed: “It’s hard for me, because I know the president so well, to believe that you said, ‘Mr. President, here are some ads that I’ve taken down, and I’m going to spend $220 million on them,’ that he would have agreed to that.”
After the hearing, Kennedy said Trump was “not a happy camper” about Noem’s claim that he approved her super-sized advertising budget for her ego-fueled TV campaign.
“I heard the secretary testify that she had explained to the president in detail what she planned to do and how she was going to spend this quarter of a million dollars. And the president was fine with it, and that’s what I heard her say in committee. And the president’s memory and her memory are clearly different,” Kennedy noted.
The glossy ads showed Noem on horseback wearing tight jeans, leather chaps and a cowboy hat as she rode through the Black Hills in her home state.
‘Why do I like these wide open spaces?’ she asked on the spot.
“They remind me why our ancestors came here. Not just for its beauty, but for the freedom that only America offers,” she continued, turning to look at Mount Rushmore.
The ad went on to show Trump at various moments, from surviving a 2024 assassination attempt in Butler, Pennsylvania, being sworn in for a second presidential term in 2025, and shaking hands with Border Patrol agents.
After more images of officers making arrests, the focus shifted back to the well-coiffed brunette.
“If you cross the border illegally, we will find you. If you break our laws, we will punish you. If you harm American citizens, there will be consequences,” she promised while still on horseback.
Noem closed the ad by telling viewers, “But if you get here the right way, your American dream can be as big as this endless sky. From President Trump and me, welcome home.”
After her controversial tenure as DHS secretary, Trump finally blamed Noem.
The president named Markwayne Mullin, a Republican U.S. senator from Oklahoma, as the new secretary, saying in a Truth Social post that Noem “has served us well” and would take over as “Envoy for The Shield of the Americas.”
She is now tasked with leading “our new Western Hemisphere security initiative.”
