“What happened to Tyreek in the stadium today is completely unacceptable. Tyreek did not deserve to be treated this way by the police involved,” Rosenhaus said in the statement. “Tyreek’s legal team will investigate this matter on Tyreek’s behalf and I am confident they will consider taking legal action.”
Hill, 30, was stopped and handcuffed by police officers just outside the stadium on Sunday morning after what was described by the Dolphins as a ‘traffic incident’. According to NBC MiamiHill was ticketed for ‘reckless driving’.

During a postgame press conference, Hill, who was drafted by the Kansas City Chiefs in 2016 and traded to the Dolphins in 2022, said he was still processing the events of that morning.
“Right now I’m still trying to sort everything out. I still don’t know what happened,” Hill told reporters in an interview TikTok video posted by ESPN on Sunday evening. “But I want to be able to use this platform to say: what if I wasn’t Tyreek Hill? Like the worst case scenario. It’s crazy. I have a lot of respect for the police [but] Everyone has bad apples, in every situation.”

“I’m just glad my teammates were there to support me in that situation because I felt alone,” Hill said. “When they showed up, I realized we have a good team this year. That they are risking their lives. It was great to see.”
During Sunday’s game, Hill joked about the morning’s incident after scoring a touchdown. To celebrate his 80-yard catch-and-run triumph, Hill walked Dolphins wide toward the fans Jaylen Waddle who came from behind and pretended to handcuff Hill.
The Dolphins superstar was named captain for both the 2023-2024 and 2024-2025 NFL seasons.
Sunday’s game was the team’s official season opener, which Hill had previously said had everyone “on the edge of their seats.”
“We’re all excited man. We have a lot of weapons [and] a lot of playmakers in this team,” he said ahead of Sunday’s debut. “Everyone is on the edge of their seats waiting for this moment. I think during the three days we had off, all I could do was line up and play with the attacking guys. Every year is another opportunity to win competitions and create memories.”
