Etihad Airways will debut its flagship A380 in Bangkok in October, bringing The Residence, the world’s only three-room suite in the sky, to Thailand and significantly increasing capacity on one of the most popular leisure routes.

The aircraft will operate on Etihad’s daily evening service between Abu Dhabi’s Zayed International Airport (AUH) and Bangkok (BKK), further strengthening connectivity between South East Asia, the Middle East and Europe.

With its upper deck featuring The Residence, First Apartments, lounge and sophisticated Business with fully lie-flat seats, as well as an inviting and comfortable Economy cabin, the A380 is more than an aircraft: it is a destination in itself.

The introduction of the A380 comes ahead of the peak winter travel season, supporting continued demand for travel between Thailand, the Middle East and Europe.

Positioned as a natural gateway between continents, Abu Dhabi offers travelers the opportunity to make one trip into two through Etihad’s Abu Dhabi Stopover program. Guests can extend their trip beyond Bangkok to experience the UAE capital – from the beaches of Saadiyat and cultural attractions such as the Louvre Abu Dhabi to events and entertainment year-round – within one seamless itinerary.

Welcome aboard

Guests step into a world of refined luxury on Etihad’s A380, where every traveler is treated to a distinct and enhanced experience.

First takes luxury to a new level with the First Apartments. These nine private rooms are equipped with designer tableware, a spacious leather armchair and a separate ottoman that converts into an 80″ flat bed. First guests also have access to personal wash basins and the exclusive First shower room.

On the upper deck, the Business cabin features 70 private spaces, each with lie-flat seats and direct aisle access, for a stress-free journey. The upper deck also houses The Lobby, a serviced lounge and bar between the First and Business cabins where guests can relax and socialize. Extensive Wi-Fi keeps travelers connected throughout their journey, from closing business deals to sharing vacation moments.

In Economy, the journey begins with a special welcome area that sets the tone for an enjoyable flying experience. The cabin features 68 Economy Space seats, which provide an additional four inches of legroom, along with 337 Economy seats. Designed for maximum comfort, these seats feature Etihad’s signature fixed headrests and large cushions.

The pinnacle of luxury is The Residence, the world’s only three-room suite in the sky. The Residence can accommodate up to two guests and features a private living room, bedroom and private bathroom, complete with a shower at 40,000 feet.

A dedicated team of Etihad cabin crew provide unparalleled service. Guests at The Residence can enjoy a culinary journey with an à la carte menu, served on designer tableware in the private living room, or even opt for breakfast in bed.
